Went there after years down in Naples. Did not see many other shops besides Tommy Bahamas. Some Galleries and jewelry stores but nothing appealing enough to go in and browse. Still prefer 5th avenue.

Outdoor shopping along beautiful Naples Third Street South - classic shopping just a couple of blocks away from the historic Naples Pier. We found a gallery just by chance with amazing prints of the Naples Pier.

Third Street South is a close walk from the beach/pier. A perfect place to stop over after watching the sunset for dinner. Not very big, smaller than downtown Naples.

The 3rd street area is also very nice and also a bit pricey. This area has many fine art stores to wander in / out of.. You can find nice restaurants there as well.. Enjoy !!

This was a great place to do a little shopping. Enjoy either a meal or a snack and a glass of wine. There is also a farmers market near by open once a week, and you can pick up some fresh foods. Great place to...More

Has some distinct and unique Naples instotutions stores that 5th AVe S does not. Janes is a good example as well as Ridgeways. The also host the framers market on Saturday mornings.

How fun!!! The street was alive with family, motorcycles, colorful bike riders, music and snow. They offer this event every Thursday and Friday in December from 7:00pm thru 10:00 pm. Oh my gosh, just fun, fun, fun. The city is electric with beautiful lights, music,...More

Like most of Naples fine dining on a budget is available during Happy Hour and sometimes the Early Dinner Menu of a special lunch menu. On 3rd Street South, check out Campiello's Italian. Frequent specials, especially off... More

To follow-up, I noticed the one individual (Realtor) did mention the "Trianon Hotel". Again, very nice, rather unknown place in town. More interestingly, the guy "Mike" gave you the "great tip" (which I failed to read... More

New Years Eve... fireworks, street entertainment, music? (1 Reply)
We are in Naples for NYE, and definitely want to catch the fireworks. I think I have read that Third Street South has street entertainment/live music too - is this the case? We don't want to pay over the odds for an expensive club, but would like to find somewhere for food and live music to see in midnight! Any ideas would be great, either in central Naples or further north towards Venetian Bay where we are staying near.

The NYE fireworks are at the Naples Pier from 7:30 - 8:00pm. Both Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South will be busy that night. Both have calendars of events on their respective websites (google Third Street S as well as Fifth Avenue S for more information. I have never been to the Fishing Pier for the NYE fireworks, but on almost any day parking can be challenge just before sunset. Hope that locals will chime in with suggestions of good spots to park.

Anything else to do on Fifth Ave besides eat and shop? (9 Replies)
Because of the colder weather, we want to do something on land in town. Three of us women are trying to decide what to do tomorrow between these three things: Fifth Avenue, Tin City and Venetian Bay. We are for sure going to end up at Venetian Bay to stroll around and have lunch or dinner at Bayside Seafood Bar & Grill because it's on the water (unless someone else has a better suggestion for a restaurant/bar on the water). I've researched so much about Fifth Ave and Tin City, so I know the...More

Tin City and 5th Avenue are only a few blocks apart. I’m usually in Naples in the off season, so, not familiar with crowds. My hunch is that if Third Street South seemed crowded and congested, I’m thinking Tin City will be much, much worse. You could go visit the Botanic Gardens. Nice way to spend a couple of hours. I like Naples, i can easily spend a day simply walking around the 5th avenue area, stopping for a drink here and there, walk to 3rd Street south, walk over by the Cove....More
