10/10 recommendation for the Everglades tour with Kenny, an incredible tour guide. Kenny is so knowledgeable about the area, the history, the culture, the wildlife and nature and the communities from Naples all the way down to the Everglades. He took extra time to point out animals and their habitats and went above and beyond so much that we even got to see a manatee and an alligator in the wild. The tour conveniently picked us up and dropped us back off directly at our hotel (the JW Marriott). We loved visiting the Ochopee post office and were so happy that everyone on our tour agreed to stop at a local seafood restaurant for lunch. The air boat ride and alligator preserve were also a unique and fun experience for us and our teenage kids. We've been to Florida loads of times, but had never been to the Everglades. I'm so glad we made time for this. 100% worth the investment and highly recommend!

What an amazing adventure!! Meet up was very simple in front of the JW Marriott - park across the street for free if you’re not staying at the hotel. Our tour guide Connie was full of energy the second she stepped off the bus! She told us all about Florida’s history and fun facts the entire trip. We started with an airboat ride and it was a blast! Captain Brown was hilarious and shared so many details about the Everglades. We saw raccoons (trash pandas), alligators, dolphins, and a ton of birds and fish. After that we went to Wooten’s Animal Sanctuary & Alligator Park where we got to see Charlie (alligator) put on a show with his awesome handler, DJ! Other animals they saved were spread out around the park so we also saw turtles, lions, tigers, and otters. Plus, I got to hold three baby alligators!!! On the return trip to Marco Island, Connie stopped at the Ochopee Post Office. It’s the smallest operating post office in the US; it’s literally a shed! It was a fun trip from start to finish and we would recommend it to anyone - couples and families - looking for a unique way to see the Everglades!

Can’t say enough about Kenny Hill as our guide/driver. He made the trip as knowledgeable about so much and narrated from pick up to excursion to return. Truth be told his part was probably better than actual airboat ride—-airboat was fun just not as much as expected—told as we got there not going to see gators—as not a lot of rain so too salty for them. No swamp or grasslands as that is different kind of airboat—so only mangroves which were interesting but after 15 min got old—for price would choose something else. 5 out 5 for Kenny Hill —3 out of 5 for airboat ride.

Overall we had a slightly disappointing experience that probably could have been a lot better with a few small modifications. We took the half day trip, our guide, Kenny was great at answering questions and providing interesting information on the area and wildlife. The drive over was a nice chance to get caught up on the area and wildlife, but the excursion to the post office was boring and felt like a way to burn time rather than do anything productive. The airboat tour was interesting though from the description I expected a naturalist who could provide us with more useful information than what we received. The "sanctuary" we went through was by no means the highlight of our trip, and the animals were in small enclosures, though Kenny explained to us that it was either this or the animals were euthanized. There was an alligator "show" that was by no means enjoyable for the alligator, who was dragged by his tail and had his mouth prodded, nor the audience, who were mainly just bored or somewhat sickened. Overall, probably not an experience I would do again unless the post office and sanctuary parts were removed from the itinerary.

Great tour that left right from our hotel (JW Marriott on Marco Island.) Our guides were friendly and informative. Some of our favorite parts of the tour were parts that were not advertised, such as spotting the burrowing owls, pulling over to look for manatees, and the drive-through of Everglades City.
The tour guide uses Wooten's Airboats Rides and Animal Sanctuary for the active portion of the outing, and those guides were also great hosts. The airboat ride was really fun (note: you will likely get wet!) and we saw a ton of gators. The everglades are more beautiful and interesting than we imagined. Back at Wooten's, the alligator "show" was really more a lesson on alligator behavior (which is good, I think, because we don't love animals being used for entertainment) and the holding a baby alligator was neat for the kids, though that happened in a much larger group than I was anticipating.

A very enjoyable day trip. We spent about 4+ hours. The guide who drove the van told enjoyable stories and historical tidbits while we drove to the air boat and animal preserve. We learned the history of the area and much about the local wildlife and vegetation. The airboat ride was well done by a guide who lives and breaths the everglades. We had a 3 year old with us. The boat provided ear protection. The 3 year old did pretty well, a bit noisy for him, but ok. After the ride, the alligator show and the wildlife preserve was very interesting. The kids loved it. Seeing turtles, alligators, crocodile, tigers and other wildlife. You are able to hold a baby alligator which is a huge highlight. Then traveling to see Everglade City and learn its history. Be prepared to make 3 tips, the air boat driver, the alligator show presenter, and the trip driver/guide

Our family of four with two kids age 6 and 10 went on this tour It was AMAZING! The mini bus driver was so informative and kept giving us so much info on the history of Florida in land fresh water system, eco-system, and everything that we saw on our way to the city of Everglades. The air boat tour was just crazy, making 360 turns, so some amazingly large alligators, many bird species. Gator show was also very nice and unique. All in all, worth every penny and strongly recommended.

Half day tour, this is a great way to see the highlights of the Everglades from Naples. The tour office is conveniently located close to 5th Avenue and Tin City. From there it's a narrated air conditioned coach ride to Everglades city where the driver highlights some of the more interesting history, people, and buildings. Next it's the air boat tour, is exhilarating! The airboat captains like to show off their skill but noticing there were no seatbelts I wasn't too concerned. Don't worry about the noise, headsets with microphones are furnished so you can hear all about the Everglades. We saw the smallest post office in the U.S., and there is time to mail a post card if you like. They ran out of postcards the day I went but our driver/tour guide, Gerard, offered to go back and mail one if an address was left. Then we went to see an alligator show where they also have lions, a tiger, an otter, and more. The show was informative and fun and there is an opportunity to hold a small alligator. On the way back to Naples Gerard told us of restaurants in the area and food trucks in a nearby park. You may not experience the activities in the same order, Gerard changed it up to avoid crowds at the alligator show. There is plenty more to see but this was a great way to see the highlights.

Our guide was the best in the business...Kenny knew it all, extremely informative and dealt with all the kinks and hassles, turned disappointments into opportunities when we couldn't at first see any manatees in their expected locations along the drive.
The only downside (not his fault) was a rather crowded and very short alligator "show" if you could call it that at Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tours and wildlife sanctuary. I found the noise from the airboats nearby the be very annoying and figure that the rescued alligators, crocodiles, tigers (there is pair of them, Siberian) as well as turtles, etc. would be super stressed.
If you go with NT&T tours, insist on Kenny as your guide!

This tour was the highlight of our weeklong trip to Naples. All family members agreed. From the airboat ride from Everglades city to the boat ride around Thousand Island, everything flowed sermless, thanks to Kenny. He was a true ambassador for the area. We particularly enjoyed lunch stop at City Seafood, where we enjoyed the first harvest of stonecrab claws at rock bottom price. I highly recommend full day tour!

How long does it take to get to the airboat? And how long are you actually on the airboat?

Maybe this is a silly question, and I apologize in advance. I get motion sickness. I would love for our family to take this tour, but am I going to get sick on the air boat? No spinning in circles? I need to know before I book this. Thanks!

This is nothing like being in a boat. Gliding on top of the water at a higher rate of speed, yes. The wind in your face probably will make up for any ill feelings if you have them. Make sure you wear your hat backwards and have a great time.

Hi Kathleen. We took the full day tour. The cost was $130 for adults. This includes lunch which was very good. We left at 8:00 am and got back about 4:00 pm. Parking was right at their office in Naples. Fairly easy to find when using a GPS. I hope this helps.
What is the prices of a 1/2 day and whole day tour. 4 adults. Nov. 23 2015

The full day tour was $142.00 per person with a discount from a local magazine. Not sure about the half day. You would be better served by just taking an airboat tour. You will see much more. This airboat takes you though the mangrove tunnels and the only animal we saw was a racoon. Check this out because there is a certain time of year they don't run this full day tour because of the heat in Florida. Hope this helps you.
