The park is very clean and nice, it has picnic tables and a playground, easy parking and an access to the beach. The beach is very clean and we were amazed by sand and water. Sunset worth a visit.

It was a beautiful day and not busy at all. We enjoyed the sun and a swim will be back. We found Lowdermilk very easy and parking was open and spacious. The beach was clean.

We pulled in and parked for only long enough to get a view of the beach. The sand I walked on was perfect beach sand. Soft and easy to lie on kind of sand.

On summer vacation, the family and I headed to the shore for some beachy fun. In the midst of an exceptionally severe red tide season in Southwest Florida, we were apprehensive about going in the water so we just lounged on our blankets. The surf...More

I have asthma and I coughed a lot. The air felt spicy if that makes sense. My son got water in his eyes and we had to leave because they were so irritated he couldn't open them for several minutes after.

Beach wedding location - suggestions (2 Replies)
My other half and I are getting married in Naples next month (small intimate wedding, just the two of us). It’s our very first visit to Naples and our wedding planner suggested Lowdermilk Park or 8th Ave S for the location. Which do you think would be nicer? Or should we perhaps go for a different beach altogether? Any suggestions would be very welcome! Thank you!

If you want a different beach about an hour North of Naples here's a website you will find useful: http://www.weddingwire.com/biz/…3a186818fc588480.html It is about the Lido Beach Resort which gets good reviews by previous guests. Search Trip Advisor for these reviews.

Anyone know Briarwood? (8 Replies)
I'm still on the hunt for a rental house that is west of the 41 so we can walk to the beaches or have a really short drive (we like Vanderbilt, Clam Pass, Pier, Lowdermilk etc). I'm not having much luck on the location (with our budget!) although there are loads of gorgeous houses around! Briarwood seems to be a much more affordable option and a lot of rental listings for Briarwood say their villa is 'minutes' from the beaches. As a local would you say it's really minutes to the beaches? It...More

Cathy -- Anything west of I-75 is "minutes from the beach" -- by car. It's about 5 miles from the beach to I-75. Generally speaking, most (but not all) places in Naples are no more than 15 minutes or so from the beach (even with lights, except at rush hour in season) . I am not familiar with Briarwood -- if you give me the exact location, I could give you a better estimation.

Right across the street is First Watch. We like it. It's not fancy or anything but you can sit out back on the water, which is nice. Food is very solid and prices are good.
