This is the most DISGUSTING hotel ever!
We got at the hotel and the rooms were not clean. Dirty towels everywhere, the bathroom was not cleaned, the sheets were dirty. It smelled musty.
Inside the rooms there were stains on the walls in the room and bathroom. The sinks and toliet were filthy!! We went to make coffee and the coffee maker was gross.
The head boards to bed were smelling and dusty. The blinds were broken.
The manager was not nice. She was a witch!
This hotel needs to be torn down and build a new one!!! I have never in my life had the worst experience ever. I’m so disappointed!
The only good thing that came out of my trip was the view of the marina. Please do not book here. Look elsewhere and save your money!!!!

The two rooms we had did not have plugs in the basin. The floor in the bathroom looked dirty or stained, the shower in the morning stayed stubbornly cold. The food in the restaurant ( not run by the hotel except for breakfast) was not very nice. The fat was rancid. The fish overcooked. The home made key lime pie was off.
Nowhere else to go though!

Great plce to launch a boat. However, the marina leaves alot to be desired. Rednecks who do the grunt work run the marina as management is too afraid to get rid of them. My life was threatened by a rednecK overplaying music on my boat. I suggerst to just stay away from the marina.

We had been directed to the marina by a "sights" sheet from the national park and the sheet said we could view manatees at the docks at this marina. When we got there and asked about the manatees, the clerk quickly said we couldn't see anything unless we took the manatee tour leaving from that marina. What a mistake!

The tour was a disaster! The captain apparently had another captain call in sick and we had to endure his talking on the phone for 20 minutes. He had was short-tempered and abrupt.

When he realized he had more passengers waiting to go out on the tour back at the marina, he pretty much forced us to go back since we "saw manatees" (yeah, for less than a couple minutes and then he cut short our enjoyment watching them by turning the boat around) so he could dump us and get to new passengers.

From leaving the dock to arriving back on the dock, we were out only thirty minutes out of a tour that was to last an hour and a half. And he had the audacity to charge us $40 for the "privilege" of being treated horrifically and discriminated against.

Very poor tour with an equally poor captain.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

We just checked in, and I am utterly disappointed that we chose to spend one of our few family weekends in this absolute dump. This is far from luxury with the broken window shades (thanks because I now have to sleep with a bright orange light on the patio coming in) and smoking on the pool area.

Not even a complementary bottle of water in the room or drinks for purchase in the lobby area. We went to the pool area and wasted money in a broken vending machine.

Beds. Hard as a rock with cheap bedding.

To add insult to injury I called earlier to ask about the pet policy and was told no pets. Yet at check in, 2 ladies with a dog- not a service dog- came into the lobby right behind me.

I would never stay here again and will be sharing my sentiments on social sites.

This is such a miserable experience. A waste of money.

Worth the drive if you want to see some real FL wildlife. Saw a manatee right off the dock! Clean restrooms.

My daughter and I had so much fun on the tranquil waters of the canal searching for manatee with three other guests from Canada and Captain Kent. We were not disappointed as the large docile creatures surfaced just feet from the boat! Bring your camera with plenty of space/battery. Captain Kent was knowledgeable about the manatee as well as gators and other birds we spotted in the mangroves. He offered "props" to help explain things he described. Would definitely recommend for all ages!

Absolutely Loved it! If you love adventure, nature and relaxing. This is the place to be.... The houseboat was perfect for me but could be comfortable for 2. It's fully furnished and had everything I needed.
Staff was wonderful, people were friendly, Resort beside Marina had great food and nightly entertainment and a big pool.
In the Marina and surrounding area. There was daily fishing and wildlife tours. I saw, gators, manatees, fish, turtles, ospreys, hawks, many different egrets, woodpeckers, white ibis and a comical, cardinal with a worm hanging from its beck. Of course I can't forget the mockingbirds and a cute little frog on my deck one night.
Many great memories and a great learning experience for me. Definitely would go back !!!
