The 1 hour tour with Captain Mike was a perfect activity for the morning before lunch. Captain Mike was an excellent guide providing blankets when the ride got chilly and binoculars to see the amazing wildlife along the way. He gave history and information about the sites along the way and stopped when appropriate to look at an alligator and... More

Herons, vultures, gators, snakes and the bald eagle and it's nest, all this on our tour with captain Steve on the 2 hour tour. Great day on the water and great information from our two guides about the chain of 7 lakes in the area. The Rusty Anchor captain gave us a wonderful day . Even had a good recommendation... More

We had a great time on our boat ride today. What a beautiful area, and a lot of wildlife including a bald eagles nest and 10 baby gators. Thank you CAPTAIN RAY and wildlife expert ROBERT for a great off the beaten path experience of the real Florida.

Our tour guide & great weather made this a super tour. It was a chilly morning so he handed out warm blankets. He showed us lots of wildlife & had a lot of knowledge about the area.

We went on the 2-hour Dora Canal tour. Captain Steve and Kathy were excellent guides and were also very patient and kind with our kids. We saw lots of creatures on our trip, including wood storks, alligators, and river otters! We previously went on a trip with Premier and the Rusty Anchor was less expensive for families (kids 5 and... More

We took the two-hour canal tour, which I highly recommend. We saw eagles in and near their nest! A whole host of birds--vultures, herons, Snow White egtrets, pelicans, anf more. We also saw an alligator and several turtles. A picturesque tour, the two-man crew helped make the whole ride fun and informative. They were personable, down to earth and funny!... More

This was our second trip out onto Lake Dora with The Rusty Anchor and we enjoyed it this time as much as the first time. Captain Steve and guide Ron were entertaining and informative, pointing out various birds, (including bald eagles!), Alligators, and vegetation. This 2-hour cruise started in Lake Dora and traveled the canal to an adjoining lake, then... More

Although not planned, we were so glad we took this boat ride across Lake Dora and up the Dora Canal. Our captain was very informative and friendly. We were surprised to see a nesting Bald Eagle on this trip. Thoroughly recommend.

Wanted to find something off the beaten track to get away from the theme park crowds and we were not disappointed. Captain Ray and Captain Steve took us on a two hour tour of Dora Lake, where we saw Bald Eagles, Alligators, Turtles and loads of other rare birds, not too mention the stunning scenery on the Dora Canal. But... More
