We took 2-hour Dora Canal tour mid afternoon on a very hot day...even for Floridians, it was oppressively hot-about 100. There is no ticket booth; money or pre purchased tickets are taken on the boat. It leaves from the dock at the end of Fourth Street. There was a nice breeze off the water and we watched a seaplane land... More

Sadly not one of our favorite trips. The boat was dirty and uncomfortable with long thinly padded bench seating running down the sides and a metal middle row. If you are seated you face other passengers not the view. There are tiered railings around the boat which obstruct your view unless you are standing. The Captain did not speak more... More

Made reservations on line. But tickets were available there as it was off season. The boat ride was good, really enjoyed going down the canals. boat captain and crew were excellant. They pointed out the wildlife, made sure we saw it, allowed those of us taking pictures time to do so.

Understanding that you cannot control mother nature, we were disappointed with the wildlife that we saw on our boat ride. The canal was very pretty. The seats on this pontoon boat run along the sides and one bench down the middle. Not a comfortable way to view the canal. Next time I would choose a pontoon boat with front facing... More

Loved our Rusty Anchor boat tour? The Captain & Mate were very knowledgeable and we were lucky enough to see 2 Bald Eagles, a Cormorant, Osprey, turtles and a blue Heron. We also saw a large aligator as we travelled along the Dora Canal. Would thoroughly recommend this tour and we were lucky enough to have chose the perfect weather.

It was a wonderful trip !! Captain Scott and Crewman Robert were great !! They were very good answering any questions about the area and even found a couple of gators to see !!! The weather was nice too !! The canal was busy and Captain Scott detoured so we could see a more peaceful area !!! Thank you so... More

This was a last minute stop for me, but worth it. Went out on the smaller boat with just three people. The captain was informative and had a great personality. Saw gators, eagles and turtles, and the ride through the canal was lovely.

We had the most fun afternoon on the two hour Rusty Anchor Dora Canal Tour. It was very educational. The captain & Mate pointed out all of the beautiful homes & buildings along the shores of Dora Lake & the history of some of them. We saw an eagle's nest and the eagle sitting in a tall tree. We entered... More

We have been to mount Dora frequently over the years and we really love this small town. We were visiting with a child and wanted something to do that would interest him so this was the option. I booked on line, this saved nothing, unlike most on line advance bookings there is no discount fir pre booking on line. We... More

This boat trip across Lake Dora, LF was not only fun but educational too! The Captain and Mate pointed out an abundance of plants/trees along with bald eagles and nests, various kinds of birds, alligators, turtles, bird houses known to be used by snakes, etc. The Lake Dora Canal was especially interesting as he slowed the covered boat to a crawl...
