I love this trail. It is maintained well and goes for miles. Bug repellent is a must as there are several "wet" areas you travel over. I was walking solo (with my dog) and happened upon a homeless gentleman sleeping by the trail once and he was not happy to see me but I have never encountered him again. I... More

We finally loaded up our bikes and hit the Blackwater Heritage Trail. We put in at the Bagdad end of the trail. Limited parking there, but that is not the main place for parking anyway. The ride is very pleasant but once you hit Hwy 90, you get in to the area where you have frequent stops for crossing roads.... More

Nice bike ride, about 9 miles one way. A very short section on the north end is in very bad repair, lots of tree roots. But this is relatively minor. Several toilets along the way. There are trees along most if the route to break the wind and provide some shade.

Nice rail to trail. I have been here about 6 times, and it is very nice, with a few Naval Flyers overhead. Watch for dogs, not on leashes. Highly recommend if you don't like street (dangerous) biking. Gradual slope up as you head North. First 2 miles has numerous street and highway intersections, but then you get to the better... More

Good ole outdoors time in the sun and breeze. What you would see, wooded area, creek beds, and little farm houses. Mile markers are on the trail so that you know how much you have traveled. There are park benches dotted here and there, a small playground next to the public library. Also an information center in that same area.... More

My wife and I found this to be an ideal trail to take. Only way to take the trail is either by walking or ridding a bike. Every one will say hello to you and bikers will let you know when they are close to you. Be sure to take water with you as there are no water on the... More

This is a great place to ride, run or walk. The trail is very wide that allows for 2 way traffic with ease. A lot of the trail is shaded which is nice when it gets hotter. There are subtle hills that will definitely make your workout a little tougher. Always some people out there working out or just walking... More

I love this trail, my sister and I use to walk it all the time growing up. Very safe and beautiful. Also quiet and mostly away from traffic.

This is an old railroad line converted into an asphalt bicycle and walking trail that winds it's way from downtown Milton, Florida, to the back gate of Whiting Naval Air Station. Total length one way is somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 miles. I llike the part after it leaves the Milton downtown area where there are less road crossings... More

Nice walking or biking trail. I am from the area and have walked this trail many times. It is very peaceful and serene. It does cross over a few streets and goes past a few houses and the town library. I've never been inside the welcome center so I can't say what it offers. Overall a very nice walk through... More
