This trail is well maintained, but unremarkable. It’s a great trail, but there’s nothing interesting to see…mostly wooded. A few road crossings with one really busy one. Bathrooms clean but locked at the end of the day. There’s a repair station near Coal Tar end and a bike shop we did not visit. Remote in places. There was one small playground. There’s a visitor’s center but it was closed when we went by in the evening.

Long and flat. Smooth asphalt. A few road crossings and a small visitor center with nice restrooms. Free to access. Really enjoyed the run. I covered ten miles in total.

I have lost 100 lbs walking on this trail every night after work. 8 miles of free safe paved hiking and biking. You can park downtown, at the library, on Munson hwy or behind Whiting Field. I have seen rabbits, turtles, lizards and a few snakes out there putting in my miles. Why pay for a gym membership when you can walk, run or bike here for FREE?

The trail is built over an old RR line, but now is a nice smooth asphalt trail.
- At least two small shelters in Milton where you can use the bathroom and get some water during daytime hours.
- Great for senior citizens, those in wheel chairs, and small children as there is easy ramp access at grade in numerous places.
- The scenery is pretty pedestrian and normal if your from the coastal SE; various oaks, myrtles, and pines and some streams.
- If you get hungry or thirsty your just a few feet from a Burger King & Whataburger in Milton.
- The one downside is there are MANY street crossings. Most are safe and easy, but the one at the intersection of 90 and 87 is rather dangerous. Please be careful as motorists sometimes run the red.
- Numerous places you can park and start, but many like to park and start at the Milton library. There is also a park there with a small assortment of children's play equipage.

The trail starts in downtown Milton and runs out about 10 miles to the Navy base at Whiting Field. The part closer to Milton has more crossing streets but the part closer to Whiting Field less congested. The crossing are really well marked and safe. Well marked, bathrooms available, very nice trail.

We started at the Visitor's Center near the Santa Rosa County Library, which is the address listed: 5533 Alabama Street. This is about mile marker 2. If you are in the parking lot of the Visitor's Center and walk to the left, you will walk past some houses into a more rural area. The path is paved with lots of trees, so can easily be walked during the day. Great for walking and biking.

This is a very nice, shaded bike path. The only downside is that you have to cross some roads and watch for cars. If you to farther up the trail, you can avoid the busiest roads. The entire trail is ten miles long. Great for a long ride. I use it every day when visiting.

Runs for miles through the forest and starts in Milton at Hwy. 90 and Hwy. 87. If you want to get the family out for a hike or bike ride, use this well maintained and scenic trail with ease of access and comfortable pathway!!!

This is a well maintained trail made from an old railroad track. It has bathrooms along iit which is convenient, and a couple of benches. It is about 8 miles long with scattered signs that identify various plants along the way, including the infamous carnivorous pitcher plant. Nice trail to ride bicycles or walk beginning south route 90, downtown Milton.
