About
At Adventures Unlimited, you have the opportunity to experience canoeing unlike anywhere in the world. The spring fed rivers flow at an average depth of two feet over a soft, sandy bottom through state forest. White sand beaches dot the banks; perfect for swimming, sunning and picnicking. Two hours or three days… canoe, tube, kayak… camp… in tents or cabins… alone, with your family, a friend, or a group of friends. Adventures Unlimited is also the home of Florida Zip Adventures. A series of canopy zip line tours that are fun for the whole family.

We wanted to book a little getaway and came across Adventures Unlimited. Let me tell you, it was well worth it! We were a bit concerned with the cold weather coming through but I can assure you, the 2 space heaters that were in the cabin did the job! We stayed in the Azalea cabin and it was pretty private with a charcoal grill and a fire pit. When you walk into the cabin, you have a screened in porch, a futon bed along with a kitchen area. The kitchen had a stove (no oven), a microwave and a mini fridge/freezer (pretty decent size). The kitchen also had cooking utensils, silverware and a coffee pot (which was clean might I add). Then you move into the bedroom/bathroom. The bathroom has a shower which was also very clean. We didn't do any of the extracurricular (zip line, tubing, etc) but we did take advantage of the hiking trails, which were VERY NICE! I'd also like to mention the playgrounds they have for children. Us and our 2 dogs really enjoyed this getaway and we will definitely be back. OH, and if you need a store, there is a cute little country store called In The Reeds which is locally owned. It's only about 10 minutes away and the drive is nice. They sell beer, ice and they also have a deli!

My wife, two kids, and I planned to do a 4 day canoe trip with Adventures Unlimited providing rentals and shuttle. Had weather issues so had to change plans at the last minute, and they were amazingly helpful. In particular Suzanne was really great. She and others helped call other canoe liveries to see if we could get out somewhere else, and then they helped us make plans with them for day trips. And the kids loved the Dr. Seuss cabin!! Overall they made what could have been a disaster of a vacation one that was really fun. We hope to come back!

The room was not clean. The sheets had not been changed. The glass drinking cups were still wet when we arrived. The blinds covering the window in door were broken with several gaps where anyone could look in.

Communication with staff (over phone and on site) was easy. Everyone is very friendly, wanting to help, and willing to share their knowledge.

The river was litter free and beautiful.

What stands out the most to me is the care put into the cabins. Each detail shows how sensitive you are to any possible needs of your guests. Just simple things like having paper towels and dish soap to the grill utensils all made our experience more positive. Providing shampoo, air conditioning, a fire place for winter, a cork screw and wine glasses, screened in porch, and traditional Florida rocking chairs exceeds my expectations for a rustic cabin. It was clean and fresh. The fire pit was raked and ready to use.

It is very difficult to balance using the natural environment for a business, yet keeping it healthy for nature. Adventures Unlimited is a successful example of this balance.

We did not expect much as we have tubed many times in Florida all over the state. This is by far the best we have tubed in the state of Florida. The water is very clean and it seems more like Georgia than Florida. We didn't expect much, but now we all want to come again. Tubing was great. The zipline is next on the agenda. There are cabins you can rent also.

Needs friendlier front desk staffs, and accommodating. AC in the cabin wasn't working and roaches inside the cabin. Didn't stay the whole 3 days, and when we told the office about the AC and roaches they said they can't do anything about it. Been coming here yearly but not coming back. I don't recommend this place to my friends and families or to anyone.

Thank you for completing your guest survey and turning it in upon your departure. We took note of the issues you mentioned and dispatched a staff member immediately to inspect your cabin. While we lacked sufficient evidence to support your comments, we sincerely apologize that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Based on our experience, we speculate you encountered the following scenario: 1. Bugs do show up on occasion due to our location in a remote, wooded area - even though we have a pest control program in place; and 2) While all our cabins- primitive or furnished - have a/c, a heat wave with consistent 105 heat index is going to challenge even the best of our units. As a repeat customer, we trust that you know that Adventures Unlimited strives to provide a top notch opportunity for our guests to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. It is our hope that you will give us another chance so that you can create more memorable experiences with friends and family. If so, please contact us directly rather than utilizing the online booking option so we can discuss your cabin selection in detail.

I love kayaking! I would take a trip down the river every day if I could! The river is beautiful! We had such a great time, sleeping in the cabins, going down the river and 2 of us went ziplining. It was great. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and it was so much better than staying at a hotel. Peace and quiet!

Adventures Unlimited provided our rental canoe and shuttle. The paddle down the river ended at the resort, very convenient. The staff was friendly. The equipment was in good condition. The river - amazingly beautiful! We were first out and had the river to ourselves. Clear cold water and nature at its finest.
We didn’t do the zip line, but the course looked really good with a long zip over the river. We will be back

Our family has kayaked, canoed, and tubed down Coldwater Creek, using the servives of Adventures Unlilmited. We make two trips each summer and have camped and rented the "Bunkhouse" on occasion. The trip down the creek (7 miles) can be relaxing and you can stretch it out to last all day -- rent an extra tube to haul your cooler. Carry lots of sunblock. Coldwater Creek is COLD, so go in summer! It is a beautiful creek, lined in cedars, with sand bars about every 200 yards.

The campground is nice and there are hookups for campers. A nice bathhouse that is kept very clean and on-site watchman throughout the night. Cabins are from very primitive to very nice - depending on how much you want to spend and what ameneties you have to have. We had 24 people and stayed in the bunkhouse, which had a large screened in porch and full kitchen with 2 1/2 baths. The sleeping area was 3-high bunkbeds. Very comfy and had air conditioning.

The water in Coldwater Creek is most shallow. White sand beaches and a sand/gravel bottom. The cedars keep the water a reddish tannin color. About 2/3 of the way downstream, there is a rope swing in a deeper area. Even those who do not swim will enjoy this trip. Wear your life jacket if you don't swim but feel comfy in knowing the in the majority of the ride, if you tip over, you can stand up.

The staff for the canoe/kayak trips are awesome. Zachary has become our officiail bus driver, taking us up-creek to launch. He joins in with our crew and feels like family! The only glitch I have ever had is booking the trip with them well in advance and people making reservations under the group name. Always seems to be last-minute, spending 30-40 minutes at the office making sure they know who paid and that they belong to our group. A better system needs to be created for that, as many, many people do group trips.

For the money, it is worth every penny to me. I have not tried the zipline as it doesn't appear to be that interesting, though I have heard from others that they enjoyed it.
