We wandered in after overhearing another visitor comment about an artisan working. We enjoyed talking to both him and the person running the register, The pieces were above average and I found many items worth purchasing!

My husband and I enjoy antiquing in Micanopy. My husband is a rock hound; he last purchased a lovely citrine crystal at the Shady Oak Gallery. On this visit, he purchased a colorful piece of fluorite (jade green with purple streaks) and a nice quartz crystal. I lean more towards the jewelry, so I purchased a pair of cultured pearl ear studs.

I love all the antique/collectible shops, restaurants, and the general feel of Micanopy. The Shady Oak has the most beautiful stained glass for sale. The Historical Museum is a must for those who love Old Florida. Just walking around Micanopy is refreshing to the soul. Paynes Prairie is not something you expect in Florida.

What a charming gallery. The Shady Oak offered wonderful stained glass, much of it made by the owner. People interested in fossils as art forms, wooden boxes, wooden and stone dishes and bowls, beautiful and unique jewelry, printed materials, tee shirts and hats will find hours of browsing and buying here.

This is a nice gallery and shop that has numerous beautiful stained glass lamps and wind chimes. There are also a number of pieces of jewelry and other home decor items.

Great place to see and but local artists work. If you are really lucky you might see stain glass artist at work. Fun!! Beautiful items at very reasonable prices.

The Shady Oak Gallery is full of unusual art and "whimsy" I don't even like art, yet I have purchased many things there. From jewelry, to a frog climbing off of a shelf to a lamp made out of a crystal, such unusual things that I never new I had to have. The people there are nice and very helpful - you can even take a class on stained glass there!

My girlfriend and I stopped in here to browse on her first visit to Micanopy and found it to be one of the nicer shops. Everything was nicely displayed and easy to view. The owner was friendly and helped my lady find a small decorated wooden box with a concealed compartment for a gift. Lots of interesting items for the home too, inside or outside.
