Wanted something to do given that it was forecasted to be cloudy and windy. Decided to rent these bikes and cycle from South Beach to Bal Harbour in North Beach. Really easy to rent the bikes, done by the app which allows you to see all of the available bikes in the area and their locations. Can rent for an hour, 2 hours or even longer and it's very reasonable price wise. Would highly recommend using these bikes to get round if you're wanting a quick and cheap option to get around Miami Beach.

We use this most excellent bike-sharing service every time we are in Miami Beach!
Insider tip: You can buy a month's membership for only $30 or so in person at the office on 723 Washington Avenue in South Beach. Then you are able to use a bike from any of the MANY stations throughout the area to get you to the next area. There is an hour limit on how long one can ride, but anywhere you want to be is definitely less than an hour away.

It is a very good option to travel in a healthy way. If you want to lower your belly a little, it is better to travel by bicycle than in your car. If you are going to travel short distances then I recommend it.
The Citibike bikes are in good condition. They have several stations where you can leave your bike. The price is quite reasonable and if you do it often you can opt for a membership. In the long run I think it is a better option.

DO NOT RENT these bikes. They have a policy that states if you return the bike and it is not locked in the docking station they will considered it LOST and charge you a $45.48 for this. They stated you have to go to the nearest docking station to LOCK it! Ridiculous after emailing the manager Claudia several times she did not reverse the fee. I only rented it for 30 minutes and ended up paying for over 4 hours!

Their docking stations in Miami Beach don’t release the bikes and they charge you anyways. My dad literally had to reverse 13 Citibike charges over the span of a week-long visit. Also, bikes are poorly maintained and the rental fees are high.
If you walk around the beach, you routinely see people struggling to yank bikes out of the docking stations. This has gone on forever and Citibike seems not to care at all.
Customer service is also terrible. Citibike’s robo-system gives you an option to talk to a rep, but it just recycles a pre-recorded message.
Great job adding a lot of stress and frustration to an activity that should be fun and convenient

Citibikes are everywhere. It was $4.50 for 30 min or $6 for an hour rental. It was easy to rent and return. Note that not all bikes are in good condition. Mine rattled a little, while my daughters was just fine. They have a night light attached and a bell for safety.

So much fun and a great way to get around! It had been 20+ years since my husband and I rode bikes, but like the saying goes..."You never forget how to ride a bike!" We had a blast. It is the best way to get exercise and ride around the boardwalk from north or mid-beach to south beach. There are plenty of locations in South Beach to find a bike for sure, and it's a lot less expensive way to travel back and forth.

Citibike Miami South Beach has no peddle assist bikes.
I found one in the hundreds of bikes they have on the ground. We need 2 together. I tried to find out where the peddle assist bikes have gone. Customer service has no answer and takes no responsibility.
What is wrong with this company or agency? They stink.

I loved it ! I bought a 3day pass, always had a bike available. The bikes were good and worked well. I was staying in South Beach but crossed the bridge and left the bike in the city. No 30minute maximum with the 3 day pass

The citibikes are a great way to discover Miami. We rented the bikes one morning, and drove from south beach, and the 8miles noth, to the end of the north beach. A beautiful trip, where you can stop and take a swim whenever you like. Just remember some snacks and drinks.

Hi does anyone know if I can attatch small my stroller/trailer on the citi bikes? Or what kind of rear axles they have? When I have visited I’ve seen some citi bikes biking around with single child trailer.

Hi, we want to rent a citibike for the month so 35$. But on the website, it is written that we are allowed to do less than 60 min of ride. If we want to ride all the morning, what we have to do? It is correct to take it like at 7 am, then at 8am, we find a station, we change the bike, take two new one and continue our ride, then at 9am we find a station and do it again with 2 new bikes. It is the way we can use it if we want to do a ride of more than 60 min? Thank you

The first 60 minutes is free if you have the month pass, they charge a hourly fee if you have a bike out for longer than 60 minutes. But you can avoid the charges if you return the bike before 60 minutes and then you just check out a new one. We ended up doing this even though we just paid for an unlimited 24 hour period because any time we went into a store, etc, we would check the bike in, do our shopping and then check a new bike out.

Se sei abbastanza esperta di bicicletta si è possibile, se no te lo sconsiglio vivamente.
Evita comunque le city bike, ci sono negozi appositi di sport che noleggiano bici/rollers di ottima qualità e in buono stato. Il prezzo è lo stesso se non più conveniente.

I don't know where that specific place is. There are Citibike stands EVERYWHERE, but I don't know how far that would be, what the traffic would be, etc. Sorry I can't be more help.
