So many tours all promising the world. We opted for Duck Tours South Beach for the amphibious truck. Cheaper than many, 90 minute tours showing some of the many interesting places Miami has to offer on land and from the water.

Tour guide David was a hoot, plenty of energy and the Captain drove us safely through the busy Miami traffic before going into the water and negotiating the even busier waterways.

Try it, we liked it!!!

The Duck Boat tour with a narrated description by Hollis wound through Miami's South Beach streets before going into the waters of Biscayne Bay. Nice smooth boat ride with excellent narration of the various homes and landmarks by Hollis. She pointed out various details on many of the old art deco buildings.

Well worth the money for the 90 minute tour. One Ocesn Drive margarita drink cost more than the tour and the drink doesn't even last as long.

We really enjoyed the tour and tour guide. The duck did get us everywhere we were expected and it was fun! The 90 minutes were really only 80 minutes, but we saw much on the roads thru the city and going into the bay was awesome. Always fun to see where the rich and famous live, the houses and their toys (yachts). The duck was full of every seats and masks were mandatory during the entire trip. Good value.

We were in town for half a day and able to book this tour. We were happy to be driven around and see and learn about parts of the city, BUT, while the guide was fine, the commentary was big on telling us about which stars live in which house and how expensive they are. We are simply not interested in that as a form of entertainment and would have preferred more information about the city’s history and culture.

This was my second time in the duck boat. The tour itself was ok. They should show you more since you can go down ocean drive. The tour guide Rick was great. Here’s my problem every single seat was sold. No social distancing. Below is there safety guidelines.

To allow for social distancing, we will limit the number of customers allowed inside out office and spacing guest seating on board. Floor markers are located throughout to help guide customers.

They did not adhere to this at all. They only did 1 trip yesterday 12/22. They usually do 3 trips a day that would have allowed for seating to be spaced out. I was one of the first on board had I known the boat was going to be packed I wouldn’t have went. But my voucher had already been ripped at that point no refund would be issued. It’s very disappointing they really need to do a better job.

Hi there 268joshuam thank you for taking time to review your experience on our tour. We apologize that you did not feel comfortable with the capacity of customers on board. However every passenger is enforced to wear face masks at all times. As of 9/25/20 the Governor of Florida lifted the mandate from 50% capacity to 100% capacity. Considering our tour is outdoors and pretty much open air we have no restrictions. We are also making sure that our office and boats are cleaned and sanitized throughout the entire day following all the other guidelines. Also, we ran both the 3pm and 5pm not just a 3pm & our policy & safety message states "• We will require everyone to wear a face mask at all times when entering our office and at all times during the duration of the tour by mandate of City of Miami Emergency orders. Non compliance may result in the termination of your tour and NO REFUND will be issued. • Our office & boats are regularly cleaned and sanitized throught the day. - Boat capacity is back to 100% as of 09/25/20 issued by the Governer. However, all passengers on board have to be wearing a face mask at all times. " Again, we apologize you didn't feel uncomfortable. Best always, Duck Tours South Beach

We found the Duck Tours to be OK.1) It was supposed to be 1.5 hrs but didn't last that long. Our guide eluded to some streets being shut down due to COVID and they usually go down some of them. I think that should have been disclosed up front so we could have made an informed decision. 2) Our guide didn't seem very sure about the info he was giving to us during the tour. We wouldn't know the difference if it all was BS. We liked the specially made vehicle that went straight from the road to the water. That was the best part of the trip. 3) During the water tour- we was so far from the "Star's houses"- we were left guessing at which house was the one that we were supposed to be seeing. 4) At the end of the tour there was a "tip" bucket put in the seat at the staircase before you got off of the vehicle and of course the driver and Guide was standing there watching you. I feel as though they were trying to intimidate us to tip- I did not because I felt like we had already been ripped related to the shortened tour and the lack of our "guide" to be professional. I/We expected more for the $38/person after tax than what we received. The Jungle River tour would have been a better choice for us I think.

The "Captain", while folks were lined up ahead of time failed to assure all "passengers" had the paper boarding passes. AFTER we started to board we needed to wait for the ones who had only the confirmations on their phone to go to the office which is a block away from the Boat. The "guide" showed up at the 1 PM departure time, had problems of some sort, had to go to the office a block way and delayed us by 15 minutes. The engine was so loud you could barely make out the narrative. There were no protection from the "Florida Downpour" we encountered when in the water and half the folks on the "boat" got soaking wet. No side curtains to protect us. We had taken 14 other Duck Tours and this one was the pits and turned us from any others. Take a boat tour on a proper boat and land tour on a vehicle - This is NOT the way to go!

fun way to see Miami beach and Miami sky line. Tour guides are hit or miss. It is expensive for what you get but there are discounts if you look hard enough. They need to offer a resident pass for those of us who bring guests consistently on this tour.

The tour goes for 1.5 hours, of which 40-50 minutes spent in traffic. The small tour of Miami Beach was interesting, the tour on the water - less so. The guys certainly try to entertain, but by the end of the trip tired of the constant shouting guide in the microphone and his attempts to make fun of the people.

No covid cleaning or sanitization on the bus. 50 people got off before us and we were loaded on without even a look at the seats by the tour guide. We sat directly in the seats that the last 50 people sat in for two hours. The boat/bus then broke down while we were in the water and we all had to get off and get into a new bus/boat. We are familiar with the duck tours in Boston which are always great. My 9 y/o nephew commented that the tour guide needed better timing and that this was their least favorite tour of the whole week they were here. Won’t be back. Sorry. Could’ve been much better.
