- Lifetraveler1Atlanta, Georgia1,349 contributionsThe best quiet beach, away from South Beach! This particular Beach is about 6 mi North, of the world famous South Beach. Also, it feels like it's a world away from all the loud noise, overcrowding, raucous party nature that is now associated with South Beach. This particular Beach is located next to a city park, with parking spaces just west of that Park, with an average cost of about $3.50 for three hours. Which is significantly cheaper than what you'll pay down on South Beach. The most important think about this beach is that it is quiet, comfortable, with lots of space between you and the next guest on the beach. Unlike South Beach, you don't constantly have to look over your shoulder keeping an eye on your possessions, because it is so sparsely populated. It is easy to see when someone is coming in the direction of your personal belongings. There aren't any dogs roaming the beach, at least not that day. When I arrived there were literally only about eight people within my view, both left and right, on this beach. Bottom line-if you want to see a lot of very attractive women in skimpy bikinis, then South Beach is your place. If you want a party atmosphere with bars nearby and lots of high-priced retail stuff, then South Beach is your place. But, if you want a quiet, serene, sparsely populated, clean, soft sand, great looking water, beach without the drama, then North shore open space Park, is where you should go!Visited August 2021Traveled soloWritten August 31, 2021
- JiaOntario, Canada30 contributionsSo BeautifulVery clean and not crowded. My favourite part was the parking, it only cost $3.00 USD to park for an hour and it is right across the beach. More mature crowd, more relaxing and peaceful compared to South Beach.Visited January 2020Written February 4, 2020
- wireless_in_CAUnited States4,835 contributionsQuiet and No CrowdsParking across the street was only $1 per hour compared to other lots closer to more popular beaches. From the lot to a spot on the beach near the water took less than 15 minutes. Soft white sand, warm calm waters and a clean beach plus a lot less people made this an enjoyable place to relax. Lifeguard stations were manned. Closer to the street were the volleyball courts and public restrooms (not the best condition or smells inside). If one wants a quieter beach experience then I suggest the North Miami Beaches over mid or south.Visited October 2021Traveled soloWritten October 23, 2021
- BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia17,537 contributionsQuiet and relaxingThe north shore park is on the northern side of Miami Beach island. If you got enough of South Beach hustle head here to have some relaxed beach time in peace. We visited it when driving the shore road to Hollywood. It was great to find a parking right by the beach for a reasonable price. The beach is much less crowded than south beach, and you feel you have it for yourself.Visited January 2020Written February 7, 2020

- CSturgeo179 contributionsCalm, convenient beachIf you, like me found the crowded chaos of Miami Beach a turn off, check out this beautiful public beach with ease of parking and restrooms. This may be more crowded on weekends but for week day travelers it was a welcome respite. Located just north of 79th St. there is a parking lot across the street within easy walking distance. The parking machines will get a an unlimited time for $8. We couldn't even find a way to get out of our car the previous day (Sunday). Thjis beach is one used by the locals.Visited February 2014Traveled as a coupleWritten February 25, 2014
- Raymond LMount Dora, Florida156 contributionsHomeless Rule!Paid $350.00 to reserve a pavilion for a family gathering at the park. Arrived at the reserved pavilion only to discover it occupied by 5 homeless people. After explaining that we had reserved it, they reluctantly moved 15 feet to the next pavilion. As our younger members began to arrive they were introduced to the park by the cursing and fighting among the now 10 mentally ill homeless people in the next pavilion. During our barbecue the homeless sent a representative over to beg for food. About an hour later, two park maintenance men in a truck showed up. They warned us not to leave any valuables lying around because the homeless are known thieves. This made being close to the beach totally superfluous. It is obvious that those responsible for the park security have completely abdicated their responsibility for safety and security of legitimate users and renters. This is truly a horrible place to try and relax and enjoy the amenities.Visited August 2015Traveled with familyWritten August 11, 2015

I have traveled from New York to the Warm waters of Miami Beach.
Miami's north beach (79th) is less crowded, cleaner and offers a community sense. Areas of mid-beach consist of luxury hotels. The beaches in this area of Miami beach are well kept and the water is warm. There are no street shops, or eateries or CVS's on the corner, just a marina for yachts. Many beaches in Millionaires Row are private, access to many beaches are through the hotels. Public access to beaches in this area is limited. The beaches of South Beach are famously known as Miami's Beach tourist attraction for it's art deco architecture, trending shops and eateries. The beaches are publicly accessible and the water is warm. The beaches are crowed according to the seasons, and well maintained. transportation is convenient from the airport to South Beach - you can take the public bus #150 for $2.25 to South Beach. South Beach has 3 free trollies with A,B & C schedules to transport over varies areas of South Beach..

I have a niece who used to live just across the street from this park. We used to come here for picnics every time I visited. This is the way Miami Beach and other communities along the coast used to be when I lived in the area. I believe this might be the only open park space still available for public use at no charge. I hope it remains this way for many years to come.

Very nice park and beach with restrooms and jogging/walking path. I found this on one of my morning walks and really enjoyed the change of scenery on the path with the trees.
