Catch a glimpse of dolphins playing or a peaceful manatee resting in our fabulous Florida waters. We'll visit the Port of Miami and wave "Bon Voyage" as we ski past all the cruise ships. Then we'll enjoy the sites at Bayside, including the world renown Hard Rock Cafe. But no time to stop for a drink because from there we're off to the very elite Star Island, home of Miami's rich and famous. The fun's not over yet! Wife and I decided to book a jet ski tour as another way to see the city. Excellent choice. Phillip was personable, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Probably the most fun we’ve had on our short visit from PA. Thanks!

The highlight of my birthday getaway to Miami was definitely riding the jet-ski! Our guide Ramses was very helpful and has the patience of a saint. We had no problem booking a reservation and we were out on the water right away when we arrived. Ramses explained everything in detail and also answered all of our questions. I will be sure to visit again on my next trip to Miami.

Really easy to book, we left a voice-mail late one evening and they came back asap. Parking was easy, they have everything you need on hand, and could not have made the check-in process more pleasurable.

As for the JET-SKI part - ILLEGALLY GOOD FUN. Ramses ( who took us out on the water) was a hoot, I was the only person who hadn't been on a jet-ski before, and he made sure I had lots of TLC at the start to build my confidence. Tour is great, they have a sense of humour, and GO FAST - exactly what they promised.

Could not have imagined a more fun.

Reserved 4 jetskis online, arrived an hour ahead as stated in email. They were 'overbooked' so they bumped us up an hour, then told us they only have 3 jetskis available because some didn't pass inspection. Email stated valet was free but we actually had to pay $20. Refund for unavailable jetski took a month and didn't bother to refund the convenience fee with it. Employees stated they piss in the bay since there are no restrooms, so that's a 'nice' thought while riding jetski and having pissy bay water splash on your face🤢. Jetski was fun but the business is unorganized. I will book elsewhere on my next FL visit.

I walked in to this place around 3:30 pm to rent a jet ski, the guy told me the next time available was 6 pm I agreed and filled out the waiver and paid $163.90 for a hour. I came back around 5:40 pm with plenty time for my 6 pm reservation. When I meet the guy again he told me that he was sorry that my reservation was overbooked and was rented to someone else. He offered me to come back the next day and pay a discounted rate, I said, ok but how much is the discount?and he said no you already paid...it doesn't make sense. I decided for the refund a walk away. Bottom line, this place doesn't care about customer service, poor service and bad experience.

The actual jet ski and tour of Star island experience was fun and we enjoyed ourselves. I got this as a birthday gift for my husband. HOWEVER, they took a $300 deposit and never returned it to my credit card. We did not break any of the rules and should have had the deposit returned, but it wasn’t. I feel this is likely common practice as I have read about this happening previously with this company, but I was hoping it was a mistake. I was wrong-please save yourself money and a headache and DO NOT use this company.

I was walking my dog past the jet ski rental this morning and watched the guy working there standing on the seawall peeing into Biscayne Bay. Customers were waiting for him at the rental desk. Real "first class" operation.

5 coworkers and I were in Miami for the weekend. We saw a ton of great reviews and only a handful of negative ones, so we booked this company. Half of us had never jetskiied before, and we were all very excited. We ended up having a great time on the tour and our tour guide was very nice. However, when we stepped off of the jetskii's, it soon became a frustratingly disastrous experience. I have never felt a need to write a review on tripadvisor before, but I feel everyone should know about our experience before choosing this company.

There was a 7 inch long scratch of damage on one of the jetskiis. My coworker on the jetskii had no idea it was there until it was pointed out to him by the guy in charge, Tak. My coworker remembered of only one instance when his jetskii had touched another jetskii - when he had already shut off his engine while we were stopped in the water and a small amount of momentum along with the waves pushed him into another coworker's jetskii. He said it was so light he had barely thought about it. Now, though, he was being charged with $1750 worth of damage. We were conservative riders too, with many of us being new to jetskiing, and none of us had tried anything remotely risky while riding.

Tak told us it cost them $250 an inch to fix the jetskii's scratches and that we had signed the agreement in the 2 page document before riding. He told us we either had to pay it or call the police and file a report which he reminded us would take a whole day out of our 2 day vacation and that the police would just side with him anyway. However, he told us he would give us a $200 "discount," so we only owed $1550. If he was telling the truth about a jetskii costing $250 an inch by contract for his company to fix it, would he give us a discount of any sort? I don't think so. Additionally, he told us he wouldn't charge us on the "many days the jetskii would be out of commission while fixing it." This is ridiculous- him acting as if it were so kind of him. The same jetskii we scratched already had many pieces of black tape over it. When we felt the tape, the scratches under them felt much deeper and longer than the one we caused. Obviously the jetskii had been damaged many times in the past - however it was still not in the repair shop. Also obviously, the company would just put another piece of black tape on top of our scratch. What was even sketchier was that Tak offered to charge us only $1250 if it were in cash as opposed to credit. It obviously doesn't cost them $250 an inch to fix if they can give us such a discount. After 2 hours of trying to reason with Tak to no avail, we finally agreed to the (extremely easy for Tak to "pocket" some) $1250 cash deal. What could we have done? He had all 6 of our credit cards and driver's licenses locked up. He pointed us to an ATM next door and we went off to get cash. However, the ATM only allowed each card to take out $100 dollars a day. So now total we only had $800 dollars. When we asked to pay the remaining in credit, he told us we needed to pay $100 more if part of it were credit. We tried to tell him we TRIED to get all cash but the ATM didn't allow us - it wasn't like we were trying to retract on our deal. He just stood there, arms crossed, telling us the extra $100 was the only way. We ended up paying it, not knowing what else we could do. To top it off, they did not give us a receipt of any kind.

I challenge Tak or the company management to tell us that any part of my review is untrue.

First, I want to thank you for the great words about our tour. I agree with all what you mentioned about the damages and it is a simple policy that ALL JETSKI RENTALS companies have in place "you damage it you pay for it" we give all / 100% of our customers a full orientation and and instructions on operating the JETSKIS prior to their departures ALSO we ask all customers to review their assigned Jetski for any damages and we also show them our Damage Schedule and customer must agree prior to participating on our tour. WE UNDERSTAND your frustration about the $$$ you have to pay for the damage but you must understand that you are responsible for anything you rent even a simple bicycle or scooter or vehicle. All rental companies will charge you for damage you cause to their equipment. As far as paying cash vs. CC our body shop charge us less if we pay cash so, to be fair we pass that option to you. WE are not in the repair business we are in the tour and rental business. We Been in business for 12 succeful years and as you see and as you mentioned we get tons of great reviews about our service NOT our policy. Lastly, NO JETSKI RENTAL COMPANY OFFERS INSURANCE AGAINST DAMAGES. Sorry, about how you feel and I do invite you to call me personal and discuss if you wish. Joseph A. Owner.

i wish i can give 0 stars.

So this tour falls under MIAMI BEACH.
deception #1 because they in fact are not even located in miami beach!! their tours are in MIAMI. there is a BIG difference because your tour will not include clear blue pretty waters. instead you get murky dirty water. i asked them why theyre listed under miami beach and they said because their corporate office is there. WTH?...
however they said they will offer you $20 credit if you take the cab from miami beach to miami to do their tour as long as you show your receipt. we did not cab there so we are not sure if they are true to their word. instead, we drove and they instruct you to park in a parking lot across the street and to bring your parking stub to them so they can stamp it for you to get free parking. pretty ghetto.

next up, our tour guide was a guy name brian/bryan however he spells it. it was 4 of us and we managed to get a private tour. lucky right? NOT.
DECEPTION #2: so after we sign our lives away and whatnot we head out. the tour is in fact NOT a tour. i've been on other jet ski tours where they go a distance, stop , and talk to the group about some landmarks/history or etc. Brian merely goes off, and sits and waits for us to catch up, says 1 fact about where we are and heads off to the next destination.

DECEPTION #3: their website says they will go around manatee zone, dolphins perhaps, and glitz and glory and glamour. they [--] so badly because the 1 hour tour does not in fact allow for enough time to do it all. i'll tell you why. because as you head out of the dock/pier whatever.. the jetski is idle and is literally floating out. that takes up a good 10-15mins of the "TOUR" no lie. and floating back to the dock at the end.. thats another 10-15mins. the drive to fisher island is the whole tour. under the bridge that you will cross is the so called manatee zone. an ugly sign saying it.

DECEPTION #4: so before we go on this so called tour brian mentions he does not liek to charge people for damages to the jet ski. he said before our tour he just had to charge 2 other people for scraping the sruface of the jetskis because they couldnt stay away from each other. $900 for a scratch? what did you do to fix it? they used BLACK TAPE to cover it up. that must be some expensive tape i tell you!!! feel bad for those guys that had to pay that !!! brian does NOT tell us what he charges but merely points to a small teeny little chart. but at that piont you have no care in the world and u just want to get out on the water. well guess what, my jetski capsized and apparently there is a CHARGE for capsizing. $250 CHARGE. are you kidding me? dont your business have insurance?????? he says that the engine got wet. yea SURE IT DID becuase my handbag with my cellphone was in your compartment and not a droplet of water touched it. when we said that he said oh, the sealant around the seat could have gotten destroyed and we have to pay to fix it. [--] !!!!! then he goes, if my manager was here he would charge you right off the bat, blahblah. but if you have cash, we can work something out. just make it $100. so of course we pay him $100 cash so we can get the heck out of there.

oh and by the way, they have other names associated with them but i'm positive its the same business. Jetskiz and american watersports is what they go by. maybe another name as well. but i am telling you to run for your life. he took our $100 cash and put it in a some basket... not the cash register so we know for sure he pocketed the $100 as tip. what a big fat tip that was!!! brian started out as a nice dude and he kept saying i dont like doing this but i have to charge you. why do you lie. just tell the truth and say YOU LOVE DOING THIS. YOU LOVE MAKING SIDE MONEY. your company should have insurance for these jetski's and you shouldnt be coming after your customers for these stupid things. BOTTOM LINE. we did not flip over because we were doing stupid things. we flipped over because he made us wait underneath the bridge where the waves are obviously going to be stronger and knocked us off the jetski and we took the jet ski with us. its called instinct reaction!!! these are mistakes that customers make and that your business should be assuming. ive been on other jet ski tours where other people have flipped over, its NATURAL for that to happen. and those other tours did not charge a single cent for flipping over.

as for the tour you see NOTHING of value. i rather recommend you to rent a half hour jet ski on miami beach to drive around for fun and then do the miami duck tours!!! we literally drove past some smelly water to glance at fisher island and star island. no dolphins/manatees or anything except ugly mud colored water!!!!! i have no clue what the other person is talking about but THERE ARE NO SHOWERS FOR USE. just a bathroom!!!!

this business needs to be shut down for their shameful ways of milking money. it's just SAD !!! eveyrhting about htis tour was deceiving. stay away!!!!! FAR AWAYY if you want your money!!!

I am sooooo sorry to hear your bad experience with our company. As the owner of Jet-Ski Tours of Miami i take customer reviews/comments (good or bad) very seriously. I am constantly viewing customer Reviews/Comments to insure that my company continue delivering the best jetski rides and best experience. Unfortunately, SASLI had a bad experience due to a DISHONEST employee. Since I take customer comments seriously this employee is no longer with Jet-Ski Tours of Miami. Also I would like to comment on SASLI UN-ACCURATE comments. - The world knows that Miami has the best tropical water but as we all know currents and tides and clear skies (mother nature) plays big factor in the clarity of the water. All watersports companies uses the same areas to tour. - Whats so bad about reimbursing $20 toward a cap/taxi ride. That shows that we are not only about $$ that shows that we add more values to satisfy our customers. - Not sure whats so "ghetto" about validating parking ticket for FREE parking ($20 Value) parking is less than 30 yards to our office. - We never offer private tour so not sure why she has to add this to the comments. - Reply to DECEPTION #2. Not sure where SASLI taken other jetski tours but i leave that for everyone to read many other 5 star reviews on our company. - Reply to DECEPTION #3. We offer 3 different tours 1 hr, 2 hrs, and 3 hrs with snorkeling. SASLI participated in the 1 hr tour so of course she got the 1 hr tour. our 2 hr tour takes you further of course simply because you are doubling the time. Our guides are always looking for dolphins and manatees and we never guarantee that we see dolphins, i wish we have or can control wildlife, that is why it is called "wildlife". -Reply to DECEPTION #4. with much respect to SASLI DECEPTION #4 is just a none sense comments and just trying to add NEGATIVE to make this review longer to read. On damage charges, insurance. Anytime you rent ANYTHING you will become responsible for damages. some company holds $$$$ as security deposit to cover damages done by customers and insurance is only for liability only. - Proudly, We Operate out of the best Marina in Miami and our facility provides FREE Hot Showers, Changing Rooms and Lockers. maybe she didn't get to go inside and experience it herself but it doesn't mean we don't have it. Lastly, with many negative comments SASLI mentioned about us the ONLY regret i have is that she experienced a dishonest employee during her experience and i terminated that employee due to her comments and i also contacted her and offered her a credit to show my concern about her experience. I leave the rest of her comments for you to figure out read other NICE customers TRUE comments.

I was very surprised to see the numerous positive reviews here. Our experience, unfortunately, was very different. We booked the 2hr “do it all” tour with snorkeling. When we first started our Jet Ski, the fuel alarm was beeping with the display reading empty. We notified our guide, who dismissed our concern and informed us that “it’s fine, the waves mess with the gauge.” He then pressed a button on the dash to silence the alarms.

Sure enough, exactly 1hr 20 minutes into the tour, our jet ski ran out of gas. We were in the back of the tour; the guide and group continued without us. We were left stranded in Biscayne Bay on a disabled craft wondering when someone would return. Fortunately, the guide returned shortly after 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, he had absolutely no idea how to tow a disabled jet ski. He asked us to tie a rope around the jet ski from multiple angles, two of which dragged us under and none of which worked.

Eventually, we drifted under a bridge as the weather worsened. The water under the bridge was like a washing machine; we were bouncing back and forth on a disabled craft and colliding with the support columns. As the guide pulled our jet ski beyond the bridge, clearly an area not meant for boat/jet-ski traffic, he dragged us through fishing lines from above. At this point, a storm was moving in with rough seas and pouring rain. The guide was befuddled and made multiple calls back to their office stating “I don’t know what to do.” My girlfriend and I were both afraid and concerned for our safety. I asked the guide to please contact the coast guard for a pickup. He refused to make the call.

Eventually, they reached a nearby boat rental service to pick us up. When we inquired about a refund, the employee at the front desk gave us an email address and stated that only their manager had the authority to discuss refunds. They called their manager, Joseph, who initially refused to speak with us. After much deliberation, they put him on the phone with us. He opened the conversation with a long, angry tirade, accused us of “disrespecting his day off,” and stated that he was going to offer a 25% refund for the time lost but that he was now offering us nothing because we disturbed him on his day off. He also stated, “I don’t care about your complaints, report me to the coast guard, police, or whatever agency you want.”

We were appalled at the aggressive behavior of the owner/manager, Joseph, after CUSTOMERS had an unsettling and unsafe experience with his company on the water. Other reviews may demonstrate that you can have a nice day on the water if nothing goes wrong, but this company has your wallet, not your safety in mind. Mishaps happen on excursions, but this was preventable. The aggressive way it was handled by the owner/manager compounded the problem and was completely unacceptable. I would stay away.

Jet Ski Tours of Miami - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (with Photos)
