If you are like me, you love cruising....now with the cancellations of cruising on big cruise ships, you do not have to stay out of the water! And, a smaller group of people you surround yourself with is the safer way to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having without forfeiting the boating experience. Captain Stan will have you forget your fears and troubles on land and your experience on the Therapy IV is unsurpassed. So, I surprised my loved ones with a day of fishing. Although it was only for one day, I look forward to getting away again soon to chase the blues away. The worst that can happen is you catch dinner, too.

Went out with Capt Bobby and Chris. I have fished with Therapy IV now over 10 times and there’s a reason we keep coming back. The boat is built for fishing. It’s expansive and has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.
The crew is top notch. I’ve fished with multiple of the crews on this boat and none have ever disappointed. Can’t Bobby and Chris worked their tails off to make sure that not only did we catch fish but that we got to try a bunch of different varieties and styles of fishing. Obviously, the crew will do whatever you want and fish for whatever you want to fish for but I recommend you take their word for it.
I don’t base my fishing charter reviews off what we catch as I know there are no guarantees in fishing. But this trip included 2 Wahoo and the biggest bull shark any of us had ever seen (including Bobby and Chris). A day to remember for sure and I’ve already booked my return.
If you’re looking for a top flight operation to go deep sea fishing in the Miami area, do yourself a favor and book with Therapy IV.

Therapy IV is the real deal! If you are going to charter out of South Florida (from the Keys to the North Florida coast) I would recommend these guys! Captain Mike and First Mate (also a captain) James are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and want service oriented. These guys would are worth it weather you are looking for a relaxed family fishing trip, a beginner fisherman, all the way up to hard core professionals! We were able to land a “once in a lifetime” Trophy Amberjack, as well as have great fights with a bull shark, and tons of other fish (including dinner). The boat is well equipped, it looks and feels new, and it is comfortable for families, friends, or any type of group. My son and I have done many charters all over Florida and we have our own boats and this is the one Charter we will do again!

Took a fishing trip with these guys a year ago, and with my dad and niece simultaneously visiting for a few days, this was the perfect idea for us all. To say my family enjoyed this trip would be a huge understatement. We LOVED it. We had Carl and Matt as our captains, and it was actually Carls birthday that day! The weather was phenomenal and after a slow start, we ended up catching about 6 fish, a couple really nice keepers. Carl and Matt were really fun, easy to ask questions of and really enjoyed what they were doing. Having the air-conditioned kitchen/lounge area was a nice respite once it got hot in the afternoon as we did a 1-5pm private charter. I would highly recommend this trip and we got to meet Captain Stan at the end of the trip (who gave my dad two of their famous calendars!). If you can, do a private charter, well worth the expense to have the boat and team just for your group!

Let me first say the crew was very friendly and professional, the boat was clean, etc. But I averaged our experience based on expectations. If you are out to enjoy a boat, get a chance at a big fish and don't necessarily care to actually be the one fishing, then this is a 5. My husband caught a sailfish (!!!), which he certainly couldn't have done without Adam and Ryan's expertise.
But if you expect to actually hold a pole and do anything that resembles fishing yourself (or even have more than 2 lines dropped the whole time), then this is a 1. I've been fishing enough to know there are days you won't catch a thing, but when you don't even really get a chance to try, it's disappointing to someone who has fished their entire life.
Rather than asking what fish we want to catch before the trip, I wish they had asked what we wanted our experience to be because in 4 hours, they should be able to accommodate both the "sit back and relax" or "I've done this before, hand me the pole" types, especially given the price tag.

This experience was honestly one of the best in my life. My boyfriend and I came up to visit some family who took us here and I can definitely say I was not disappointed. We started out catching some smaller bait, then moved onto the big stuff. I even caught a barracuda! Jaimie and Carl were so helpful and friendly and made our experience one of a kind. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have a great time and catch some amazing fish. It was so much fun!

My trip on the Therapy IV boat in 2018 was the greatest experience I have ever had on any vacation. My group became friendly with the crew right away, which took our experience to the next level as we enjoyed our fishing trip and their presence as well. Our goal was to go big and catch a shark so that was what the crew promised us. Eventually, we obtained a massive tug on the line and we battled on the fishing rod for about an hour. When the captain pulled in our 10-foot hammerhead shark, the boat erupted with cheering and the energy was comparable to when my college rugby team lifted the trophy after winning the Big Ten Championship in 2019. The energy was immaculate to say the least. Therapy IV provided us with such an unforgettable memory that we decided to buy the replica version of the shark. The replica was installed onto my friend's basement wall and we still talk about it today. The shark was released back into the water and we love to joke around about trying to catch the same shark with our children in the future.

My family of five had a great time with Jamie and Carl. Both of my 9 year old boys were able to catch fish that were almost as big as they were! Carl helped the boys reel the fish in and went out of his way to make sure all three kids were engaged and having a great time. We had the added bonus of seeing dolphins not far from our boat, and feeding pelicans that landed on the boat as we returned to the dock. Overall, a terrific experience. Thank you Jamie and Carl!

Exceptionally good Crew and Fishing Charter. Really attentive to a Personalized fishing experience based on what fish are in season, catchable and what the customer wants to go after. Took the Monday half day, afternoon trip with the family, 2 adults 4 kids tweens and teens, and the experience was unforgettable. We caught Bonito, had some Barracuda bites and reeled in two massive 52" and 50" Greater Amberjacks. The weather was perfect, very little wind and calm seas made the fishing fantastic but also provided for a great cruise like experience to site see the beaches and land fixtures of the Miami area. Boats have many areas for relaxing in the shade or sun and allow for great picture/video taking spots to record all the action of those who want to fish and a lot of room to hang out and enjoy the day if you do not. Ryan was our helper and he was awesome, very experienced and very good at describing and teaching what was going on and why for the people fishing. Boat has all the amenities, ice to keep drinks and food cool. These guys know their trade and we really enjoyed this charter and the memories it created. will definitely go again.

Do we need to bring water or food or adult beverages with us or can we buy them on the boat? How does that work?
Written October 11, 2019
Hello and yes, bring your own drinks and food. The boat provides coolers and all the Ice you might need. Its always nice to offer non alcoholic drinks to the crew as well. Don't forget your sun screen.

I believe its about $180 per person. I do know there are Kingfish, Tuna, Grouper, swordfish, bonita and sharks. I caught a 7 ft hammerhead last year that made the trip more than worth it. Also, my back hurt reeling it in haha. Highly recommend the Therapy IV these guys are a blast

How many people would be on a shared charter? How many people are on a private charter?
What’s the price per person for a shared charter versus a private charter?
Written December 3, 2018
Shared charter will be 4-6 persons/boat.
Private could be 1-2 persons/boat.
The date we reserved was a Saturday during the Thanksgiving, so the unit price may be higher than usual. We were charged 180$/person. I believe the price can vary due to the holidays, could be cheaper during non-holidays. Call them to quote.
