Stroll along Ocean Drive and hear about the history from swampland to billion dollar sandbar, the unlikely hero who saved the Art Deco buildings, the role of Hollywood and the mob. Great tour guide, knowledgeable, organised, able to deal with a large group. We learnt so much about the architecture and history of Miami Beach and went off with enough information for an architectural walk by ourselves. Julie was unstinting in her ability to aks questions and the tour - billed as 1.5 hours was actually 2.5 hours - all fascinating. Really worth the $30.

This is a great tour. Our tour guide, Hoji, was very knowledgeable, pleasant and he knew how to explain things. He put art deco in perspective for me. The tour was not just giving information - but making us understand the concepts and features. Now when I look at a building, I am able to identify the art deco features. I felt I got a lot out of the tour and it was worth my time. If you have 2 hours and want to learn more about the architecture and history of South Beach - take this tour.

I will start by saying that our guide Ariel was very nice and knowledgeable. However this is not really a food tour and definitely NOT for a vegetarian or pescatarian. First, let me say I enjoy history but my hubby not so much which is why I did not book this company's cultural and food tour for Little Havana. The history portion last at least 45 minutes before our first food stop. Our 3rd and 4th stops were local shops to purchase items with a 10% discount and we wanted to support during these unprecedented times so we purchased a few items. But again this is supposed to be a food tour so I think these could have been left off for the cultural tour. During the "lunch" portion as a pesco I was served yuca fries (everyone else had Cuban sandwiches) the main entrée I was to share rice n' beans with tostones (everyone else had Ropa Viejas/shredded beef dish). I felt that was a rip off for the price I paid, next time just tell me you can't accommodate my diet. I would not recommend this for somebody who's looking for a food tour or with dietary restrictions. This was more of a historical walking tour with food tidbits of Little Havana, and should be advertised as such.

We were wowed by our guide, Janinha Piazzetta whose friendly energy and spirit mirrored the colorful neons of the Deco district. Her knowledge of the history of Miami and the Art Deco movement was inspiring, and we learned quite a bit about the art and architecture as the tour weaved inside and out of the beautiful buildings. Our sincere thanks. Highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Art Deco walking tour. Janinha Piazzetta was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. I learnt a lot of interesting facts about the area that I would’ve missed out on otherwise, highly recommend this tour if you’re interested in Art Deco.

We had a fantastic time with Janinha learning about the art deco history of the area. The pace of the tour was just perfect with adequately spaced stops for cocktails.
Janinha was happy to answer questions and was also interested in us and information about where we were from.

South Beach Art Deco Tour is a MUST while visiting South Beach. It is so much more than just learning about architecture. James is a wonderful and engaging guide that tells the history of South Beach and how its history influenced the architecture over the years. Prior to walking around, he gives tips on how to spot this style of design, discusses characteristics and fun facts of historic events and people that influenced changes over the years. He is very passionate and with his entertaining stories, keeps you yearning to learn more. Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it!

James was a fun tour guide. We particularly liked the introduction giving us the historical side of South Beach Miami. It’s always good to get the background when it’s a first visit.

James helped make sure the group came together. He has a great sense of humour & had us all laughing while sharing his knowledge of the history of art deco in the area.
