People watching is a great pastime in Miami's South Beach, which draws celebrities and beautiful people in skimpy swim attire to see and be seen. The wide and fine, white sand-covered beaches are popular spots for fashion photo shoots, so you're sure to see models. The area is known for its hip clubs and wild nightlife as well as numerous excellent restaurants.

We stayed here for 4 nights and just got home to Australia this morning. We loved Ocean drive with the Latin music playing, the great little restaurants and funky vibe and great people watching.

Stayed at the Breakwater Hotel right on Ocean Drive. Best New years Eve ever! Felt safe, and the fireworks were really over the top!

South beach is always booming, great bars, restaurants and nightclubs! Just make sure you carry a suitcase of your best clothes to get in anywhere and get noticed. If you must.

South Beach is full of beautiful, tan people. All ages. There are plenty of bars and restaurants right on A1A the beach road. The Walgreens has the best souvenirs in the area. The beach itself is lovely and the water was warm . This is...More

I expected an upbeat, fun, “Beachy” area with lots of tourist stuff and that’s pretty much exactly what it is. Food a little overpriced, but you’re paying for the location.
