Ocean Drive is a happening evening scene in South Beach. Lively, vibrant, colorful it is definitely a place to see and be seen. Whether it is the beautiful people strolling the Drive, or the high end cars trolling the street. Seeming countless options for countless...More

This is a people watching kind of place. It is full of restaurants, sidewalks are full of people and the street is full of cars. Ocean drive runs parallel to a beautiful park that is parallel to the beach. The park is also full of...More

It was fantastic just to walk around the pop up shops and enjoy the atmosphere. Also walked a few miles on the boardwalk and dined in two of the restaurants.

South Beach was busy and lively. My family and I enjoyed walking around and people watching. There are many restaurants along the way, and the beach is beautiful.

Podunk tourists and ghetto locals are what you will experience firsthand when traveling through South beach. The glamorous days of movie stars and fashion icons ended almost two decades ago. The entire strip is riddled with the worst class of predators in the form of...More

Hi Everyone....totally confused right now. There are 4 of us heading to Miami in Feb, but we are so confused as to where to stay. Our ages range is 48 to 22. We have been looking at the Colony, Starlite and accommodation in and around that area, but we have also been looking at The Seagull and Tradewinds further North. Never been before and hearing all sorts of different stories from people about the expense of it all etc. Can you walk from Mid Beach to South Beach and is there the average bars and restaurants that the normal working class person can go to. We all love the Boats etc. Our accommodation budget is around the 1200 - 1300 for the week and we will all be staying in the same room. Sorry for the long question, but at the minute just so so confused. Want the best of both worlds I think :) Thank you in advance for any help. I think I really need to get accommodation booked at this stage.

We parked in a public garage on 17th St I think, just around the corner from the pedestrian shopping area, the "Lincoln" mall area.
