Collins is where all the action is. From restaurants , hotels, night clubs, and cafes. Also all the tourists are constantly walking up and down so there's always a sense of excitement in the air.

Everything happens close to Collins Avenue. Especially if you're there for memorial day weekend. It's the heart of everything.

The buildings are not worth the trashy ships, bums and crapy food. Maybe drive by but no need to stop here. Very overpriced

Collins Avenue is the Main Street that runs from north beach to south beach. It's where you'll find the Miami Police Department - famous from the hit tv series "Miami Vice" and also "Miami Ink" the reality show's tattoo parlour. Also many bars, shops, hotels and diners. This is a great location within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and nightlife. The street has many boutique hotels with a variety of pricing. It was adequate for our pre cruise stay.

We stayed at the Loews Hotel which is on Collins Avenue so we found this very useful. Collins Avenue has hotels, restaurants, shops, pharmacies, car hire, supermarkets, clothes shops, everything you could need and it also links into Lincoln Avenue.
