They charge hidden fees that make the place quite expensive. Tried to cancel due to the hidden fees and they charged me $320 to cancel a charge I never authorized in the first place.

Go elsewhere.

Of all the places I’ve been in the world I’ve never disliked somewhere as much as this area.
The area is grubby and tired and certainly not what I was expecting from Miami (I obviously didn’t do my homework!)

We were meant to stay for a week but lasted less than 24 hours

I’m sure some people love it but it certainly wasn’t for us. We were travelling with 2 teenagers who felt very uncomfortable and unsafe being there.

It’s an overpriced but low quality area

Please do your research before visiting to make sure it’s for you

Sketchy, low budget low class travelers have overrun Collins Ave. Food and drinks are way overpriced and it’s just a tourist trap. Beaches and boardwalk are nice. Stay away at night. Stay south of south beach closer to the park but, better yet, head to the keys to get away.

I spent a week on Collins Ave in June 2021 and the city is moving as usual with great foods and shops. The beach is always available during open hours. There is a bit of construction going through Mid beach but the hotels and locations are worth a bit of traffic. Please don't hesitate to visit the beach this year.

If you stay on Collins Avenue it’s a very busy street. People walking everywhere. Wall to wall hotels shops bars and restaurants. A few galleries and museums. Buses and the free trolley running up and down all day, motorbikes, skateboards, bicycles and all manner of people posing in their jeeps, super cars and convertibles.

It’s very clean, often windy, as you are one street off the ocean, but a Miami landmark not to be missed.

If you like noise, and busy streets this is the place to be in Miami.

Collins Ave has become seedy and feels unsafe at night. The crowd is lawless and makes visiting nerve wracking and not pleasurable. Where are peoples manners? The city needs to step in and clean things up before this is irreversible. The Beachwalk at night is dangerous and we were approached closely multiple times even during the day. Bongs and lots of open bottles hard liquor on the beach.

We spent 3 nights at the modern 6080 hotel in South Beach and for $350.00 per night we thought we were going to have a great time. But much to our surprise the only person who could speak English was our front desk host. Our toylet wouldn't flush. The water in the shower was just luke warm. No heat in the room. The maid and the maintenance man couldn't understand english.
My advice is to think twice about staying at this property.
Next year we are going to stay at the Hilton just across the street. They have hot water and flush toilets.
Sad for a beautiful property.

This strip of cozy art deco hotels has become the hang out for cruizers. Cars full of people smoking weed and drinking Hennesy from large open containers in cars. Competing loud car stereos and drag racing. So sad for the restaurants and hotels that are going out of business due to the riff raff.

Don't be fooled by the $100 per night refundable deposit. You won't get it back. They have a $66.12 resort fee that will be deducted. But they never mentioned a resort fee. It's technically not a resort since everything closes at 6pm. (Both pool and restaurant). The beach close at 10pm. And nothing is included. Buffet breakfast is $45 per person. Don't stay here. Only reason I gave it a one start is because it won't let you put anything lower!

If you wish to enjoy peace and quietness this is not the place to be . Music very loud, Park rangers using golf carts running on diesel, Bouchers Brothers who run the chairs concession on the beach driving as fast as possible, the sirens on and every equipement running with a motor and creating pollution that you could not even imagine. Florida and Miami Beach havea long way to go to be nature friendly.
