About
Extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Biscayne Bay to the west on Miami Beach, FL, Lincoln Road features various shops, cafés, galleries, restaurants, bars and other businesses. It attracts over 11 million visitors annually from all over the world not just for its premier shopping destinations, restaurants, and nightlife but also for its architecture. When famed architect Morris Lapidus was commissioned to redesign Lincoln Rd in the 1960s, his distinguished style positioned the road as one of the most luxurious destinations in the city during that time. Today, Lincoln Road is an iconic pedestrian district that serves as a hub for modern culture seekers, both local and international. Anchored by three internationally respected cultural institutions, the New World Symphony, Arts Center South Florida and the Colony Theater, Lincoln Road serves as a charging station for the mind, body and spirit.

Heartbreaking
Sep 2021
We have visited South Beach a few times a year for a long time and the demise of the area has been heartbreaking. The pandemic has really taken a toll on South Beach and Lincoln Road is no longer an attractive place to spend time. The tourists that remain are unruly and the area feels very seedy. Locals know that The Design District is now the upscale place to visit to shop and dine and the city is letting Lincoln Road fall to the wayside because they can't control the visitors who remain. The beach is beautiful and water super refreshing but the area overall is struggling. Homelessness has risen due to the pandemic and the desperation among that group is evident up and down Lincoln Road. What is the city going to do to turn this around and help people and the struggling businesses.

Most of the big brands are here: Apple, H&M, Zara, etc.

Although the effects of the pandemic are still being felt, as some stores are closed and others lack a variety of products and sizes, activity is slowly returning to this traditional street parade

Interesting walk
Aug 2021 • Couples
We had a few hours in Miami before we had to be at the airport for our flight. We parked on Michigan Street and walked down to get a view of the beach. We stopped and had lunch at one of the restaurants. There are lots of shops. We didn’t do any shopping, but the AC from the open storefronts was a welcome relief from the humidity.

This is a great place for perusing the many restaurants and stores located here. Plus there's a movie theater at the end of the strip

Nice outdoor mall and restaurants to walk through
Aug 2021
I didn't realize when I went here that it was such a long strip of road used as the whole mall. It is very nice lined with many restaurants, shops, coffee places, and more. There is even an old church here which is nice to look inside. Lots to look at or just nice to take a stroll through while in Miami Beach.
