Airport connection
Jan 2020
The MIA mover is an elevated train connecting the big MIA airport with the car rental center and shuttle center. The service is free and frequent.
The ride is around 3,4 min and along the way you see the Miami skyline. For me very interesting were two huge taxi parking lots - so many yellow beneath you.

Easy to use
Jan 2020
As long as you can read and follow signs, the MIA Mover is very easy to navigate. We used it to get to the rental car area and back from the airport. Very pleased with the ease of this, and free to use. No wait time in both morning and evening that we used.

Miami Tri Rail Mover to the Miami Airport terminals, not working today
Jun 2019 • Couples
After taking a taxi to the Tri Rail Station, buying our tickets and riding for 1 hour and 40 minutes, we arrived at the Miami Tri Rail station. Not bad so far, except for filthy restroom on the train, not flushing and no water to wash your hands. It gets worse. Left train and followed the signs to the MIA Mover, necessary to connect to the airport terminals. Met by yellow tape, guards and a big sign saying out of operation. Directed to join the already very long (and not moving) line of people, their children and luggage, waiting for promised buses. Not ideal when you are trying to check in timely for your flight, make your way through security and hopefully get to your gate on time. So very thankful that we were not catching a flight today, we were just doing a trial run before an upcoming trip to see if this would be a viable and less expensive alternative to our usual car service. Less expensive yes. Reliable, definitely not. As ours is a pre cruise flight, missing it would mean missing the cruise as well. A very expensive disaster. This people Mover cost $270 million of taxpayer money, yet not moving anyone today. If there had been a line of buses rapidly ferrying stranded Tri Rail passengers to the terminals it might not have been so bad. But there weren’t, and for the time we stood there nothing moved. We had hoped to at least make it into the terminals to familiarize ourselves with the Mover location for our return journey, the subsequent distance to check in etc. Had to abandon this idea as we couldn’t risk eventually making it to the terminals and then not being certain of making it back to Tri Rail. A pity, as Uber and Tri Rail (apart from filthy restroom), worked well. But this journey needs all 3 parts to work and be reliable. At least some notification at the Tri Rail stations, before you board, if there is trouble down the track. For us, the ease and reliability of car service looks well worth it, and that is what we will be booking for our next trip. A People Mover it wasn’t, and apparently not for the first time. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, unless you are willing to gamble getting there on time.

If you are going to an area that the Miami Mover services this is the easiest and cheapest way to get around. The staff was really nice and helpful.

Getting around downtown and to Brickell area and the Omni area near Bayside couldn't be easier. Just take any bus or Rapid Rail Train downtown to Government Center or to the Omni bus terminal and transfer to the MIA Mover that is operated with free rides always by Miami-Dade County Transit.

On the upper level of Miami international airport board and move to rental car, bus, and metro train station. Both train and buses are easy to use.
