Our professional airboat guides will take you on a personalized, educational airboat tour covering approximately 9 miles of this unique environment. We first go into the vast open saw grass where you will see why the Everglades are called the "River of Grass"! You will travel by Airboat through a Hardwood Hammock (a small island of solid ground in the "river of grass"), into the Everglades National Park stopping at alligator holes and seeing the abundance of 'glades wildlife. See the Purple Gallanule voted the most colorful bird in Florida and the endangered Everglade Snail Kite as well as herons, grackles, turtles, raccoons and other Everglades residents! The Everglades are a truly unique and vibrant environment which you can only experience first hand! Unless you brought your hip waders, a private airboat tour is the best way to see it! (And much drier, too!) After this fascinating and educational airboat tour, relax and enjoy a taste of 'Down Home' cooking, Everglades-style. The Coopertown Restaurant offers such delicacies as frog legs, 'gator tail, catfish and more! All served in a friendly country manner that is distinctly "Floridian". "Belly up" to the bar and meet the folks of Coopertown! Learn some of the fascinating history of the area, and check out the guest book to see who else has passed through and enjoyed a ride on a Coopertown Airboat! Take a closer look at these fascinating creatures in our Alligator Exhibit! What a cute little guy! Popular enough to have a college mascot named for it! A ride on an airboat is the best way to Check out the rest of the gator population in Coopertown

The tour itself and our guide was spectacular!! 45 minutes on the boat, several gator sightings and some birds. Informative guide, lots of jokes and not too crowded for a sunny Saturday afternoon. The guys running the ticket counter are a bit rough and grouchy, resulting in a sense of being rushed into a show or boat immediately upon arrival.... More

Fun morning excursion on our last day in Florida. Went for the airboat ride which was fun, informative & just long enough. You get a fun boat ride through the Everglades with views of wildlife & of course gators.

Don't expect the Taj Mahal..this is a very basic set-up, BUT, the folks who run this enterprise know what they're doing. Try to get there early enough before their café closes and try some alligator tidbits. Prior to your hair-raising airboat ride the obligatory pictures are taken and then it's boarding time. Our airboat driver/tour guide really knew a lot... More

Went on a date with my girlfriend to get out from the city for a bit. It was enjoyable experience to be in the Everglades. What made it the best was the tour guide named "Carlos", he was very passionate working with alligators and enthusiastic talking about them. To add on he was very funny and making everyone laugh. I... More

This was the perfect introduction to the Everglades for my friend who had never been seen them before. The exotic reptile show before our tour was well presented and informative and our air-boat driver and guide gave us a fun & fact filled tour. I'd never imagined seeing alligators appear at the call of a whistle or seen so many... More

We had a free morning before our flight, it was a fine day and the way to the place was a very easy drive. We were there early, apparently the best time to see more alligators and less people. Our guide was very good, giving us history and description of the Everglades and spotting more than half a dozen gators... More

My grandfather passed away 3 days earlier and he loved the Alligator species. I decided to have my kids along with other family members go for an airboat ride through the everglades to see alligators. The day was just beautiful and the ride itself was pretty neat. My brother and I visited this place many many times from when we... More

The airboat ride was fantastic and the guides really know their stuff. However whilst waiting for the ride, they sit you in front of a guide and he shows you their captive alligators, snakes, lizards etc etc that are cooped up in tiny cages, in dirty water with no space to move. Felt a little uncomfortable with that, given the... More

WOW- what a nice experience this was. Recommended for all wheelies! You feel like being on Titanic on the front of the boat, without the sinking. A must do, wheelchair accessible. PS I did it in 2012, and totally forgot to write this.
