You Get What You Pay For

After the coordinator called and texted on several occasions to confirm our trip, the boat still arrived at the dock 30 minutes late. The deejay was mediocre with cheap equipment and wanted to charge for requests. I'm sure anyone on the boat could have connected with an aux cord and done a better job. The food was not as advertised, but the tacos were okay.

Fun, but super disorganized

I booked a catamaran tour for a group of 8 people for a bachelorette about 3 months in advance. The day before our tour I got a phone call saying that our boat had been overbooked and that we’d now be on a shared party barge. I told the man on the phone that we had paid for the catamaran and really wanted to stay on the catamaran package, so I’d take a look on the website and see if this new package he was proposing would work. I hung up and after browsing the party barge option I texted the company that we’d like to stick with the catamaran, but he just replied “sold out.” I asked for more information via text and never got a response. The phone line says they don’t pick up the phones, just text them. I probably sent 10 text messages and no one replied. At this point I had no idea if we even had a boat at all for the trip. I was praying I wasn’t out $700. We just showed up to the port hoping for the best. Thankfully, they did indeed put us on a boat, but it was not the one we originally booked. We had a great time, but honestly it was a pretty rocky customer service experience that created a lot of stress for me. They could improve their customer service by 10x. If you’ve got a big group that you’re trying to organize for, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Fun fun fun!

DJ had every genre of music...surpassed our soca and dancehall requests...we didn't even want to get off the boat because we were having so much fun. We went on a not so warm day...but the drinks kept flowing and the music was a good vibe so some of us ended up in the water. We used the paddle boards. They provided water, wine, beers and tacos but you can bring whatever you like. We were a group of 10-12. We all placed our booking separately without issue but you can call to book together. W all had tons of fun and hoping to do it again for the summer.

Cancellation without any information

The entire extended family was planning an extended weekend together. The highlight of the trip was taking out a boat and doing water activities together, to cater to all 25 people. The guy takes our deposit, we spoke numerous times, we agreed that based on weather we would be flexible, etc. On Thursday morning when we spoke to Bobbie, we decided to take the boat that day, instead of the original planned day of Friday. He says I'm waiting for the coast guard so my boat can pass inspection, usually takes a few minutes. At 12 pm he says they're in middle of inspection so be there at the dock at 1.00 pm. We get there, in 4 Uber's, and we can't find him. He finally shows up and says boat didnt pass inspection sorry. Let's try for tomorrow. We asked for the boss, chris, who showed up with a massive hangover. He gave us back our deposit. And he gave us a free shuttle ride back to our home base. But we were still without a plan for the major part of our family vacation. We flew into Miami from all over. We had to start all over researching a boat company. We found a reputable company for the next day and we had a really nice time. Do not book with these guys! Then they send me an email asking for a review, well here u go! The truth.

I called about a week prior to the date we booked to find out if there were any actions that needed to be taken prior to the trip. When I spoke with someone on the phone they stated that the pickup details would be confirmed 72 hours prior. When no communication was given 72 hours prior, I decided to call 24 hours prior to the date of the trip and was told that pickups were cancelled due to COVID. Totally understandable, however it would’ve been great to have been told that the first 2 times I called. Had I not reached out, I would’ve never known, and the confirmation email also states nothing about that. Still I was willing to follow through on the booking. On the day of the boat party, I arrived 15 minutes early to pay the remainder of our balance, at the request of the person I spoke to the day prior. There was one small sticker on the floor indicating where to stand, after standing in the sun until 11am, when the trip should’ve been taking place, and calling the given phone number over 15 times with no answer, I was given a call back around 11:05 am. The caller, Bobby, was rude and dismissive, when I asked how much longer we would have to wait he literally said “I don’t know, just wait there”. Of course I left. I’m giving one star because they did process a refund without me asking to, but I would’ve much rather given zero stars.

Extremely Overpriced

First off, I will say that the staff are very nice and we all felt very safe. Now on to the major fails 1) we were packed on to a modestly sized boat with another party of 16 people, of which we were not advised of before hand, so for the safety of all we pretty much kept to separate sides of the boat and it was very tight. 2nd fail was that in the description of the 4 hour excursion, it was said that once we arrived at the "island" a BBQ would be provided as part of our $84 payment - there was no food provided. Again something that should have been disclosed to us prior, so we could have been prepared. Now, If the price was $30 a ticket for warm bud lights, expired kid sized potato chips, and a crowded small boat ride to a small pile of sand 5 mins from the marina, this review would have been a 5 star-er!!

Bachelorette Party

Had a group of 14 ladies for a Bachelorette Party. Originally had the Catamaran booked, but the day before I was contacted to be informed that winds were expected to be too high to take that particular boat out and they needed to change our boat to a pontoon with BBQ on Island party. They kept in contact to ensure that the wind predictions didn't change, because I was still requesting the Catamaran. Unfortunately predictions didn't change and we did have to go on the pontoon. The company upgraded the food for us and it ended up being a really great time! All 14 of the ladies agreed that it was still a success and a great party! We had a blast and the captain/staff were great!! Will def book with them again next time I am in Miami!!

Unforgettable Fun!!!

The boat was cleans, nice and complete with coke, sprite and beer to drink along with chips to eat. The tour guide was superb, friendly and patient (we ran a few minutes late) bringing us along star island, informing us of its history, the cost, and who formally and currently resides there. The dj (Flash) was used as our personal photography being we had our own personal dj to play our New Orleans bounce. 😂 Though we weren’t offered the “toys” to go out in the water and was asked to change our time so they could accommodate the rescheduling of a bridal group... All 15 of us would agree that the boat ride was the highlight of the trip. We entertained ourselves by laughing and dancing the entire time. This is definitely an adventure we would revisit.

First it's clear, then 1 month later it's not, then 1 day before it's not a secured plan, then THE DAY OF your plans get changed and there are no refunds, even if it's their fault!! Do yourself a favor and don't book with them unless it's all confirmed in writing. The email confirmation does not list each item you are charged for. Too much talking from their end and not a whole lot of action. If you are coming from out of state and have plans to party on a yacht for a large group, please please please do not book with them! Although we were confirmed for March 2020, our issue had nothing to do with the coronavirus, it was a huge miscommunication between south beach party boats and the customer. Might have had a disappointed group, but it's not worth going if your whole group is irritated with the service!

South Beach Party Boats: Check that your party bus has no mechanical issues to ensure the SAFETY of the driver and the customers!

Overall it was a nice time because of my group. They didn’t provide food like stated on site. Which was very frustrating Bc all they had was off brand chips. They provide box wine and beer, but it was like they picked the cheapest for everything. They where late getting us in the boat. The only pulled out one floaty that was ripped. Overall I had a good time because at that point I didn’t wanna fuss, but I would ask questions before booking with them.
