The Great Escape Room is a real-life room escape game in Coral Gables. The adventure is based on online escape games in which you are locked in a room with a series of clues and puzzles that must be solved in order to exit the room. It is part scavenger hunt and part puzzle game. Teams of up to 10 will work together to solve the puzzles and escape within a 60 minute time limit.

I did this room solo and was unable to get through more than half. It is definitely a team effort, because even knowing what to do and where to search, one person would be overwhelmed. I know this, because the in-room game master walked me through the last 3 parts after my time was up and it took about 15 minutes. I think a 4 person team would be a minimum for this, because not only is there a lot of search required, the puzzles have to be figured out and definitely out of the box is required or a team to brainstorm solutions.
Though there is an escape element (the exit key needs to be found), it is mainly a scavenger hunt requiring out of the box search thinking. The same area can be searched multiple times and more found.
The in-room game master is an interesting element. Jennifer was my guide and she was terrific and very helpful, though you could see it pained her to disclose too much. I think my brain shut down once I had to repeat the same search! Thanks Jennifer!

We went for my Birthday with my older kids and husband. Also my 3 year old granddaughter who had the time of her life looking for puzzle pieces and opening drawers. We laughed a lot. And thank god for our Escape Room supervisor who only dropped a few hints when needed!We made it out and went to dinner after and continued to laugh about everything that happened!Great family team event!

We spent a great hour with our 3 kids solving the clues trying to get out. The staff is really nice and its a highly recomendad activity

I took my daughter and 4 friends. They had a great time. They did the Sherlock Holmes Room. You could hear the screams of delight when they found the clue. We will be back to do another room.

It was the third of the type of escape room places that we visited during our stay in Miami. The way the room is set up is geared more for big groups and or team building events. Other venues are best suited to support a couples type of group.

There were two of us plus four strangers. We worked together pretty well, but we couldn't make it out in time. We still had a lot of fun and would like to try another room sometime, but with a bigger group so we can cover more ground in the time allotted. It was exciting and mind boggling.

Lots of fun. I will definitely do it again, in a different room, now that I know what it's all about. We were so close!!!! I'm determined to "make it out"!

We had a great time in the Escape Room. The challenges were fun and unique. The only thing I didn't like was having the game master in the room, that was a little awkward. I prefer them to be outside. Otherwise this was an excellent experience. We were able to escape with about 10 mins to go.

If you're in the Coral Gables area and want to do something exciting and different, this is a great option! All escape rooms are different, but we had a great time. It is good for a big group because our room had five puzzles to solve, so people split up to focus on different puzzles. The puzzles were definitely challenging, so make sure the people in your group are alert, curious, competitive and have reasonable math skills! Even if you're stuck, there is a staff member who stays in the room with you and is allowed to give you a few clues. It comes out to $31.76 a person, which is considered cheap by escape room standards.

Woah! What an event! I am new to the escape room world but the team, clues, riddles, and Sherlock were amazing! We had a blast! A tough and fair adventure, embrace the game and you will love it!

We are very sorry for the delayed answer but we had a problem signing in.
We have a discount on Thursday night, so the total cost per person is $26.41(fees and taxes included)= $105.64 for 4 participants.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays the total price per person is $31.76 = $127.04 for 4 participants.

Only 20% of participants escape from our rooms in the 60 minutes allotted time. To improve your chances, we recommend starting with Sherlock's Study, then progressing onto the Gameroom in our 'double header' deal. You don't have to escape one room to be able to try the next, but it's an inteestinf idea. Very soon we will be opening our third room, the President's Rooom. So there will be more choice and challenges for you!

this would be very highly extremely difficult for 2 people to do alone. optimally a group of people should do this together. yes reservations are needed
