About
Open to the public, free of charge the Wynwood Walls was established in 2009 by the legendary placemaker and visionary Tony Goldman as an outdoor museum of international street art. Since the first year's program - featuring Kenny Scharf, Futura, Os Gemeos, Swoon, Shepard Fairey, and other renowned innovators in street art, Wynwood Walls has become a phenomenon, spurring the creation of murals throughout the Wynwood district. It is now one of the best venues in the world to see the work of leading street artists. In 2010, the adjacent Wynwood Doors, with 176 feet of roll-up storefront gates was added and most recently the Wynwood Walls Garden, an open green space featuring five murals was included in the space. Each year, a selection of international artists - that range from old school graffiti artists to newer innovators- have created artwork for the Wynwood Walls. In 2012, Wynwood Walls celebrated Art Basel with a series of events dedicated to the vision of Tony Goldman who passed that September. Since that time, the project has been curated by Tony's daughter, Goldman Properties CEO Jessica Goldman Srebnick. Miami's now world renowned open air "museum of the streets" continues to attract visitors from around the world and currently encompasses more than 40 dazzling, cutting-edge murals created by respected street artists from Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States.

Walls to the world

On a trip to or through Miami, make sometime to stop for a few hours to see the walls and check out the area. Just a short Uber ride from Miami Beach and a perfect thing to do after check-out before heading back to Miami international- we did!

Local art
Sep 2021
I love Wynwood Walls. It has a great vibe, and a nice chance to see local art. The only reason I deducted a star is they are now charging an entrance fee. It was always free in the past and its disappointing to see how they are changing things now.

Stunning art!
Jun 2021
What a great experience! I was supposed to go to the beach with my sis but the weather put the kibosh on that. Instead, my sis suggested a walk through Wynwood and we ended up at Wynwood Walls. Wow! The beautiful art and vibe was worth the heat and brief rain shower we experienced. There were a lot of people walking through the area, snapping photos, and the atmosphere was almost congenial.

Unique urban art!
Aug 2021
I had a wonderful time wandering through the Wynwood neighborhood admiring the uniqueness of its urban art. Just don't forget to bring water with you to stay hydrated since you may be doing a lot of walking depending on how much you want see if visiting during the hottest months. Also try to pay a visit to the museum, is very clean and organized plus they have many interesting murals inside.

Simply go if you enjoy art, colors, uniqueness, want a break

Staying in South Beach, this place, and area, provided a wonderful respite.
I enjoy art in general. And the Walls and District surroundings did not disappoint as you can see from other traveller's pics.
Of note, I was amazed at a painting which looked like a giclee photoshopped picture of a German/Paris street. Asked a curator and was told it was truly spray painted using hand done stencils. Moral of the story- ask about an artist or piece if you are interested. Staff will look it up and print out info for you as well as chat.
Definitely worth it.

Impressive urban art!
Jul 2021
Which I love most is to see those huge murals and an open air museum.
I love Kobra´s art (a brazilian muralist) and you can enjoy his work here.
Is a must do!
If you didn´t purchase tickets online before going, you can do it there. I recommend doing so before you go. No cash is accepted as wireless (and touchless) ways are the only accepted there.

Buy tickets at the gate.
Jul 2021 • Friends
Glad we were unable to purchase tickets online. We got tickets at the gate for a third of what the site wanted. Beautiful art all in one small area.
