Great staff, could use an upgrade

The staff is simply wonderful here. But the place needs an update. So it becomes a little more of a place you actually want to be. The ambiance Needs an upgrade and a little work.

Wanted a quick snack so my husband and I stopped In for a drink and snack. I love conch and I have had it in the Bahamas everytime I'm there. Fritters were good ( different than Bahamas) but still good. Drinks were strong and cold so that was a plus.

They didn't have any liquor to choose from. Had a miami vice Was expensive and 3$ beers! Wow. Anyway we stayed at Newport Beach hotel and found that a local liquor store will not only deliver to your hotel room for free, and normally priced beer and liquor can be enjoyed from your own balcony.

If you are staying at the Newport Beachside Resort and want a drink at the pool or beach, the Tiki Bar is the only game in town - and they know it. Expensive, mediocre drinks are their specialty. Avoid them if you can.

This place was ok. We stayed at this hotel and it's a nice view but pricey. Didn't love that the gratuity was always included and service wasn't that great. One bartender actually stopped in the middle of us trying to order to talk to another customer then came back to us, it was a little rude. Other than that food... More

We ate here our first day into town. Beautiful atmosphere on the water! I had the lobster tacos and they were delicious! Our server was Johanna, we liked her a lot! Be aware of the 18% gratuity..

You could tell who had been working the bar along while, The older short latin guy, he seemed to be working a lot and making the drinks correctly.

The automatic 18% tip and taxes add on to the marked up prices. Loved the convenience.....hated the high prices.

Trust me...you're over paying for everything. Terribly slow service. Not very clean. Walk a little and eat by the pier...but if you're fool enough to stay at this hotel, you may deserve the tiki bar too.

We had the coco bongo and scorpion bowl... yummy while over looking the beach. Was about $10 a drink medium sized. Outdoor with perfect view
