Established in the 1800s by a worldly group of pioneers, sailors, artists, naturalists, millionaires, and intellectuals, Coconut Grove is Miami's oldest neighborhood and still maintains its historic charm. The Grove offers visitors an enticing mix of shops, boutiques, and lively outdoor cafes set amid a laid-back village by the bay. Monthly events include Fashion + Art + Music Night every first Saturday and free historic bike tours every second Saturday. Also, weekly free yoga classes held at Peacock Park!

We decided to stay in the Grove for a visit to the Miami Open Tennis Tournament...glad we did. You don't need your car, everything is close and pedestrian friendly. That's good, because parking is a nightmare. There are bars, restaurants, and coffee shops everywhere, from casual to fine dining. Most of the places we ate had outdoor seating, and came... More

We chose to stay in Coconut Grove since it was known to be a historic area. Everything was walkable from our hotel. The downtown has shops and many, many restaurants to choose from.

Loved what the downtown had to offer. Parking just $5 at a christian school which is better than putting it in a meter.

Beautiful area with a very good vibe, variety of nice restaurants and special little shops. Enjoyed walking around. Near Coral Gables. On the way to Coconut Drive you should visit the Vizcaya Museum.

There are parks nearby and some interesting side streets and beautiful homes to explore. Not much to do but good for a trendy... More

Lovely marina. and few little parks. Nice place for a walk and have a lunch in many restaurants. Not as busy as downtown or South beach.

This is a nice area but not someplace I would visit again. This is a suburb of Miami, not a lot of diversity and felt pricey for what it was.
