Visited with a friend for her birthday and had a great time! The animals are well kept, the guide (I believe his name was Juan) was super knowledgeable about all of the animals there, and the interactions were super fun!

My daughter LOVES sloths. We drove all the way down there since every site, including theirs, indicated they were open. We arrived and saw the sign that said they were open. But, no, they aren't. Ruined our day, made my daughter cry. You should be ashamed of yourself! Since I can't swear, you all are JERKS!!!!

We drive to the Fl Keys every year...on the way down this year I googled things to do around Homestead and Safari Edventure came up. I quickly looked at the website and saw the “ITS” tour (which is like a private interactive tour) and I called and the kindest lady was able to book us a reservation for immediate arrival. Upon arrival the space was clean and organized and the lady who greeted us was super friendly. Our guide Carlos was absolutely the BEST! He was super friendly and knowledgeable. We were not rushed in the least and got plenty of one on one time with each of the animals. My 7 yr old, 12 yr old and 14 year old as well as all adults in the group had a great time and everyone stayed actively engaged. I would highly recommend this tour for families of all ages. The foxes, wolves and porcupine were group favorites! This was absolutely the best $55pp I have spent for entertainment. I highly recommend.

We loved this place. Carlos was patient with us and allowed us to take our time with the animals. Understand that this is a sanctuary for wild and hard to place animals that were kept as pets. They can’t go to zoos or be released to the wild. SE does not receive a lot of funding, and really, the animals all seemed healthy and happy, even if we would all like them to have bigger enclosures. It’s very peaceful, but the grounds aren’t groomed. Yes, there are wild rats, but they won’t bother you. Animals we interacted with: Lemurs: fed Bat-earred foxes: fed and petted Alligators: fed Sloth: fed and petted Wolves: loved on, can’t feed Porcupine: fed and petted Pony, donkey, mule: fed

This place was great for our kids, who like animals a lot. There are many animals to see (though they are often in sometimes small cages). The highlight was the feeding encounter we sprung for. The kids (and adults) got to feed emus, an alligator, sloth, foxes, lemurs in addition to the ubiquitous farm animals (goats, donkeys, ponies). We also got to pet a few wolves, which was cool. Our guide was knowledgeable about the animals in general and about the histories of the animals we interacted with. Don't miss the talking parakeets! Bottom line: the kids loved it and had a lot of fun. Fun fact: One of the neighbors had peacocks on their property, and these were roaming freely on the roads too. Practical tip 1: My cellphone lost GPS signal in the vicinity, so it will be useful to spend some time with the map beforehand. Practical tip 2: Bring the bug spray.
