Casual and popular mix of dining and shops, this is a multi-purpose urban complex with apartments and offices above the street-level shops and eateries. Shops include off-price (Marshall’s, Nordstrom Rack, and Ross), utilitarian (Target) and a range of name brands like West Elm, Osh Kosh, andGuess. There is a PetSmart also.
This is not a hard-core shopping destination but, rather, a relaxing indoor/outdoor, pedestrian-friendly gathering spot. Look for the colorful Britto sculpture in the main plaza and the carts and kiosks selling everything from fruit to tutus.
Dining options include some chains like the Spanish 100 Montaditos, American Five Guys, and Brazilian Giraffas, as well as local options like Chef Leon’ s Argentinian. For burgers and pub food, try Bar Louie’s or go to Rubio’s for good fish tacos.
Insider’s tip: On-street parking is limited and hard to get. Instead, park in one of the large, multi-level garages and take the elevator to your desired shop or street level. Parking for a couple of hours is reasonable (about $3 dollars or so), but there is a very steep surcharge for longer-term (8 hour) or overnight parking ($35 daily).
Insider’s tip two: There are more dining options and shops one block east of the main plaza, still in Midtown.

imagine my surprise at discovering this place. Being crew of a ship to find stores like Target, Marshall, etc in close proximity to one another and bigger than downtown Miami was a treat along with some interesting food stops. It was also pleasingly less crowded than downtown Miami.

My family and I stopped here to grab a bite and parked inside. We had just arrived from NY and had luggages inside the car. When we came back they were all gone! The security was absolutely not helpful and there are no cameras to document what happened!! What are they charging for again???

There is not much going on at Midtown shops except if you want to go to Target, Marshall's or Ross. There are other smaller shops to go to though. Home Goods is another place to go to or the Sporting Goods. But other than that, there's not a lot of interesting stores to go too. However it is good for those on a budget. There are some high-rise condos nearby, and there is a great public park nearby, two to be exact. Its close to Downtown and close to Miami Beach and Miami International Airport.

We are locals and used to enjoy this area for a quick shopping trip and lunch. After a recent horrible experience we will not return.
While trying to find a parking space we got trapped behind a Brinks truck that could not make a turn because a County court car was illegally parked.
The women responsible for writing parking tickets ( I’m not positive if she is an employee of the Shops or the city) encouraged the truck to try the turn anyway and tried to direct him. After many attempts he gave up. She along with a security guy tried to get him repositioned so that traffic was not blocked but succeeded in blocking another lane. There was room for the small car behind him to make the turn successfully. We were next in line and by this a security guy was also barking orders as we tried to make the turn. They caused us to get stuck - literally inches from the passenger door to the bumper of the illegally parked car and inches from the Brinks truck to the drivers side back bumper.
The parking enforcement employee finally agreed there was nothing more we could do.
By this time there were probably 6+ cars behind us. People were screaming and blowing horns. Neither Security nor parking enforcement would call a tow truck, the police nor try to get the others cars to back up. We were trapped.
Then two young women got involved. They were not involved in any way - they were not drivers of the cars behind us. It probably my appeared that we were the problem because we were the ones stuck so they started yelling that my husband couldn’t drive and calling him names. They inserted themselves in the situation and when we said we said no to letting them direct us through making the turn, they turned really nasty and threatening.
No one did anything - neither the Security guy nor parking employee asked them to move along or anything. The security guy left and this continued for at least 10-15 minutes. My husband got out of the car to see if the driver of the illegally parked car was in the restaurant it was parked in front of and the two young girls moved in to harass me. I won’t write the things they said in this review but they hurled every racially motivated, nasty, obscene, threatening thing you can imagine that two young women would yell at a women of a different race for which they have great disdain and hate. It was sport for them. The parking employee was only a few feet away through the whole thing, they were loud and she heard them.
I dialed 911 just as my husband came back and told them to back off. They continued even though we rolled the window up and locked the doors.
Finally the the miami court employee returned. She had a Nordstrom Rack bag in her hand and tried to say she was there officially serving court papers. One of the young women turned on her, standing in front of the car so she couldn’t drive away for a few minutes. No one did anything!
We finally were able to leave after about 45 minutes of being stuck - shaken and shocked that the behavior was tolerated by those in charge of safety in Midtown.

Neat shopping area, once you find it. The Target and Marshalls have good inventory.The pedestrian area with restaurants aplenty, is tidy and welcoming.

First time we visited the “mall” and we were positively surprised specially by the Nordstrom rack! Bought some shoes there and some clothes as well and it felt like a bargain

This mall was recommended to me on a very rainy day by the bellman at my hotel. However he got it wrong he told me that it was enclosed so it was a good option for the rain but it's actually not enclosed. In any case I'm glad I went. They have Ross, Nordstrom rack, and Marshall's and some other big box stores in addition to some boutiques. Great place to go have lunch or dinner. Lots of restaurant options in every price range.if you're staying at the Hyatt, Marriott or Doubletree that are all near each other there is a free trolley that takes you right to this location and will bring you back. I believe it runs until 11 PM.

I went to the Midtown Miami shopping mall. It has a gread selection of shops. Target, Nordstrom rack, Marshalls and Guess factory shop. I did a great shopping on lower prices than on South beach. I recommend this place for lower price shopping.

Hi, I will be in midtown miami next month with a toddler.What restaurants at shops at mid town would be suitable to take him?Also I will be staying at the new Hampton Inn at midtown, what are other things to do in and around midtown?

There are so many restaurants around the midtown area. You can go to five guys burgers, there is a big pizza place outside of the shops on Biscayne Boulevard, there's miami's oldest diner called SS diner. There are so many things you can do around the area you can go shopping at the Brickell city center which is just off Brickell Avenue you can go to the Perez art museum you can go to the new Patricia and Phillip frost Museum of science which is expected to open next month. You can explore the walls at the Wynwood Art District and eat at their little restaurants there. If your toddler wants to go down the slide, take him or her to Margaret Pace Park off of N. Bayshore Dr. and 20th St. They have a playground bayfront of you sitting areas a place with so much grass to walk around and run around in and a workout park. If you want to go to the beach you can go to South Beach Miami and explore the architecture of Miami Beach is Art Deco District . If you can afford it you can perhaps rent a boat for the day and go out on the water of Biscayne Bay. Visit jungle Island which is off the MacArthur Causeway. Besides across the street is the kids museum. If you want to take a long commute, try driving all the way down to zoo Miami. you can go to the Merickel mile in Coral Gables. Visit the Vizcaya mansion. Explore the Cuban culture of little Havannah which is just west of Brickell Avenue.

Todas a vezes que estive em Miami aluguei carro. Não conheço o sistema de transporte publico de lá. Sei que taxi é caro. e carro é barato, cômodo e muito fácil de usar, mesmo no centro.
