Yup, it's got a section that reminds you a little of old-time Vegas, like a jilted walk down memory lane... even reminds you of what Miami was probably once like. It's also got great hangout, day and night, spots with awesome music. Just the kind of area Miami was missing to become a truly cool city.

It looks like the Design District lost its traction. It's cool, it's hip, it's classy, but it still can't attract enough people to spend time and money there. We went there for the 2nd Saturday art night and there were more people waiting to get a table at Michael's than in any given gallery.

The Design District, along with neighboring Wynnwood and Midtown have transformed Miami into an arts capital. The DD is a little cleaner, safer feeling, ans somewhat more conventional. Wynnwood is definitely hipper, a little grimier, and has a more boho vibe. Check out the Panther coffee shop while gallery hopping

This is the new place to be in Miami. In addition to the design stores, lots of great new restaurants and bars.

Great place for art lovers, better deals than Lincoln Rd. and interesting restaurants/bars. Very different vibe from SoBe. Highly recommended for those NOT looking for a touristy place
