Great deals on fashionable clothing 1 of kind pieces. It was great to walk to individual stores unlike the mall. Some items were bulk. We were able to witness distributors & how they negotiate prices to stock their stores interesting!

Lived in MIA for 5 years now. Maybe it's because I'm originally from NYC that I don't get this place. It's nice to drive/walk through for a minute, but for being an arts/culture-hipster-zone-ish area it's a ghost town. Yawn.

It amazes me how this district has changed in the last years and not in a good way. When I first visited it five years back it was all about architectural design with smaller shops and displays and a few cute restaurants tucked in. Now the feeling is that of being in a sort of Rodeo Drive Corp. mall atmosphere.... More

This is not an easy place to navigate and find what you want. Store are spread out over a few blocks and they tend to turn over quickly. I suggest driving around the streets first to see what there is before you park. It can be a bit of a walk between good stores without much interesting along the way.... More

We have visited Miami for many years, and always headed to the Design District as it has been the home base for many design firms and studios.(there are two architects in the family) There were wonderful old Florida style buildings, small outdoor restaurants, and good ones such as Fratelli/Lyon, as well as antique shops and a casual relaxed feel to the... If you want to get away from the cliche South Beach scene you definitely have to go the Design District. Has a great chic feeling to it, but at the same time it is filled with original artistic beauty. With art at every corner, high end retail shops, and the best restaurants to choose from, Design District should be at... More

For locals and up and coming folks; furniture/furnishings et al by day; great restaurants by night. Largely vacated in evening so plenty of parking

The design district is constantly changing and improving. There are now some wonderful designer stores and definitely some of the best restaurants in Miami. These include Oak Tavern, MC Kitchen, Michaeks, Harry's, Parchment and Egg and Dart. The service and value in the restaurants is good and the food generally excellent from some of the best known chefs in Miami.... More

With all the new restaurants, galleries, home designers and now clothing designers, this is fast becoming the place to be in Miami. Be careful at night, though and park only in well lit spaces.
