    Super nice neighborhood
For the street art, excellent cafe's and shaded spots to sit and relax, this area of Miami gets top marks from me. 100 Stars! Love the vibe here...it is fun and creative and youthful. Excellent young crowds hang here, along with serious shoppers, tourists, amusing self absorbed selfie-taking stepford types, and some other fun and seriously interesting people to watch. A lot of places for shopping!

    Short Visit
Although it was a bit expensive in terms of prices, it was a location worth visiting. Product differences were sufficient. It was a spacious and well-lit shopping mall to visit. Being in a central location, it was very convenient in terms of transportation.

Beautiful stroll, people watching and lunch restaurants
Loved the variety of designers featured as well as the many options for food and drinks, from little trucks to fancy restaurants. The Institute of Contemporary Design has great exhibits with complimentary entrance and a garage with ticketless parking. Make sure you do remember your plate so you can pay before leaving. I am not a luxury shopping but I do appreciate good design and it was truly a beautiful and interesting experience. Had lunch at Michaels Genuine which is an institution. Not cheap but delicious

Want to see luxury? You need to hop on the public transportation that will drop you off 1 block away from this amazing place. You will do a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes. This Design District houses amazing art pieces & lots of luxurious stores such as; Prada, Lanvin, Louis Vouitton, Balenciaga, Mayors, Cartier, Christian Dior, Miu Miu to name a few. There is a fancy, high end food court upstairs. You need to come prepared to spend some money.

    Fun day of shopping
Spent a day walking around the Design District and it was awesome. The shopping is amazing, Jose at Dior, David at Panerai, and Mohammad at Omega. The area is great to walk around, beautiful art. We had a delicious lunch at Michaels Genuine.

Very cool and totally unique experience
We did a tour of the district, and it was fantastic. Without our tour guide, we would never have appreciated the exteriors of the various buildings or learned about the developer and the area's history. Highly recommend you visit with a tour guide first as there is a ton of history that you won't learn on your own.

Generally a nice open-air mall populated by high-end brand stores, with a good mix of excellent restaurants. But your overall experience can vary based on a number of factors. Store hours are not uniform, so call ahead. It's mainly top brands, with very few custom boutiques except for galleries. Of course its exposed to the elements. Parking can be a hassle at peak times so allow for extra time. The escalators are rarely all working. Security can be an issue, especially after dark when the neighbors come out to play.

The Miami Design District is a dining, architectural, and artistic experience all rolled into one. Here you can marvel at the magnificent exteriors and interiors of the designer stores, watch lithesome models dressed to the nines parade by, and have a delicious meal. Expect to spend a few fun hours. There’s enough to do and see here not to rush.

What a fun way to spend an hour or two, especially if you appreciate architecture. Shopping is for the rich, but window shopping is for everyone. The stores themselves are minimalists in nature with scant offerings within large square footage. The indoor parking garage’s exterior is the most whimsical design in the district, and the Tesla dealership is worth visiting.

Miami is a money pit. Restaurants charge about a 20% service charge to all customers. This after paying for an already hiked food and beverages price. Customers are charged too much to eat and drink AND also have to pay for their labor costs. INSUlTING! This equals more profit for the business while the customer is screwed. Traveler’s should avoid Miami until they start respecting their customers instead if just ripping them off. Eat outside of the tourist district, or ask if they charge a service fee. If they, do walk out so they know why the are not getting your business. You have a choice, pay abnormally high prices while the employers rake in your money or refuse to eat at their restaurants and teach them to appreciate your business.

This place isn't just dedicated to arts but the design, fashion, and architecture while infusing the food. Spent a little over three hours here and definitely a must if you're into the funky city modern life with a twist into contemporary designs in clothes and buildings. Food may be pricey but you're going to be paying for the ambience and for once in a life, it's worth it!

Along with Upper Buena Vista just north of it, the Miami Design District dates back to the 1890's when it was a small village, home to cracker's who migrated from Georgia and North Carolina to farm pineapples in Florida. Along with Lemon City and Little River, Upper Buena Vista and the Miami Design District are the oldest settlements in Miami. Many of the homes here date to Florida's land bloom years of the 1920's when the first subdivisions were built.

Twenty years ago Miami native Craig Robins recognized the potential of this part of Miami and he started purchasing buildings in the neighborhood for the purpose of creating a place with exceptional architecture, design and experiences. L Catterton joined Robins as a partner in 2011 and encouraged luxury brands to move into the Design District. Today there are more than 120 flagship luxury stores in the district along with restaurants, public art, event spaces, museums, and galleries.

There are four parking garages in the design district. I \have only used the Museum Garage and it is only $3 to park. There is also some limited street parking. I love to come here to nosh, window shop, take pictures, and see free art. It is also a pretty awesome place to people watch. If you are looking for something different to do in Miami, the Design District is full of fun surprises. You can subscribe to the Miami Design District newsletter on their website, follow them on Instagram, or like them on Facebook to stay on top of all the happenings.

What can I say about this amazing outdoor mall. It is so nice and such a pleasure to frequent every time I go to Miami. Not only is there world class shopping but excellent eateries as well. The appeal of walking around in the great Miami weather, going into excellent shops and dining at wonderful restaurants is just to much to pass up. The LV store is my fav in the mall but there are so many other great shops it’s a close call. Gucci is impressive and the Hermes building alone is amazing, although the customer service isn’t. If you haven’t been here go, and while your there treat yourself to lunch at Michaels Genuine. You won’t be disappointed. After lunch grab a latte at the rooftop Dior cafe. It’s ridiculously overpriced but oh well, it’s Miami and it’s worth splurging. It’s best to take an UBER or Lyft to the mall as parking is horrid unless you want valet service. But go, definitely go to this wonderful outdoor shopping mall

The area is pleasant and it has a lot of stores around, plus the architecture is very modern, combining geometry with green areas. You can easily go around for a couple of hours, and there are plenty of cafeterias and restaurants where you can choose what to eat. Some of the restaurants get full very quick, so make sure to have an idea which one to pick if you do not feel like waiting too much
