Marlins Park is actually a great stadium. It's a shame that the product the owners have been fielding have been largely inferior to the confines they call home. Not too big and not too small. Hardly a seat that has an awful view. Airconditioned for...More

Marlins Park is such a let down to me because a stadium that is so beautiful and equipped for so much...the people in Miami do not appreciate it and frequent it as much as they should.

We went to see the Miami Marlins play while in Florida, July 2018. 1st time ever to a professional baseball game. The game was fun & exciting. It was entertaining to say the least watching everyone interact especially while the cameramen were videoing the fans....More

This was my final Major League Baseball stadium to visit. The stadium is was excellent. Guest services insured you were taken care of. Do not misjudge the stadium for the baseball team, as the Marlins are struggling.

If you are into baseball you might like it, I found it boring and the spectacle was to watch people eat instead of following the game.

Having been to almost all the MLB parks I have a good grounding for comparison. On the plus side, Marlins Park is airconditioned, so in the FL heat, this is a good place to escape. As a ballpark, the food is above average compared to...More

We’ve visited many many baseball parks around the country. This park is one of the worst in terms of excitement, fan participation and energy. The park looks well maintained but I felt like I was watching a bad high school game. The team and the...More

The Marlins don't draw much of a crowd and I think dining at this park suffers from that. We did enjoy the way over-staffed game with a probable attendance of 6000 (several hundred workers doing nothing). Good sightlines. Concessions was a bust though. My Beer...More

We took a LyFT. My advice would be to have them drop you off a block or two away. I set the destination as the actual park, and our driver got caught up in the gridlock of the actual stadium parking.

Marlins Parking (2 Replies)
Based on the comments here. One should prebuy parking. Wondering if there is a better lot to park in than others. Looks like there are seven lots that one can choose from. Any help appreciated. Will be heading back to FLL if that makes a difference. Thanks

I don't think any would make a huge difference. Except maybe some off the offsite lots, but I don't think you can book one of those in advance. Maybe W-1, W-2, W-3? Those are on the main drag (17th ave).

Baseball match recommendation. (7 Replies)
Hi guys. We are family of 3 from Europe traveling to SF in June. We don't know nearly anything about baseball and we don't want to spend fortune on the tickets. At the time that we are in SF there are two options: -Giants vs Marlins Giants vs Padres which includes Firework night, but is more than twice as expensive. Which of these teams are better and do you think that it is worth paying extra for the special firework atmosphere?

First, the terminology, it s a baseball game, not a match :-) The Padres should be better than the Marlins this year (Marlins traded all of their stars away this offseason to rebuild). Weekend games (Padres) are more normally more festive because they are better attended than midweek games (Marlins), if Fireworks are your thing then go to that game, but they are held after so you will have to stay until the game is over and then wait for the show. I would just go to whichevr game...More

1 adult planning a trip the weekend of Sept 6 that includes the Saturday Hurricanes game and Sunday Marlins game. Flying into Fort Lauderdale. Not sure where the best area is to stay between Ft Lauderdale and Miami to be able to get to activities. Have been reading pros and cons to Tri Rail but it does seem to be the main connection between the two cities. Car rental is not an option so relying on public transportation. Would appreciate recommendations for areas/hotels somewhere between the...More

You are going to be reliant on public transportation whatever you do - to keep the cost reasonable, and as long as you don't mind traveling you would be better staying either near Sun Life and FLL or the opposite end - in Miami near Marlins stadium. I would look at Aventura / Hollywood in Broward as it's not that far from FLL and you have simple connections on the Bus to the game and to Downtown from which you can access Marlins. I'm sure there are many other ways that may be better than...More
