We've visited zoos and animal parks and sanctuaries across the US and in other countries, yet we keep coming back to Jungle Island - despite the fact that we live over 800 miles away! It's small, comparatively speaking, but the displays are thoughtfully designed and...More

Went to Jungle Island Saturday, 9/20/14 and loved all the birds and tigers, and monkeys I was thrilled to see there. There were two Mongolian Parrots in love sitting on a ledge and I snapped a picture. I also spent at least 20 minutes massaging...More

Book yourself at least 5 hours. Try out to be there in the middle of the week. Great meeting with nature. Interesting shows. Obviously necessary camera. I recommend to all.

I had an incredible time there. Chose the VIP package which was worth it. You get a personal tour guide and thanx to her, the tour was lots of fun. You really learn some facts about the animals in general and the animals they have...More

Hi there. How does someone use the Miami Explorer Pass at this location? And if we show up around 3pm on a Saturday is that too late or too busy to see everything? Thanks.

Hi, I suppose you have to ask these questions the Jungle site. Tnx
Is there a charge for parking? How much? Can you combine it with a Miami tour?

I'm an animal lover having my 50th birthday this year and working through my animal encounter bucket list. I always include animal encounters into my family vacations. Although I love parrots, iguanas, and other more common wildlife species, I've experienced so many of these already and am excitingly looking for the less common ones to check off my bucket list. The sloths and lemurs would be new wonderful encounters for me, but I am particularly interested in whether there are opportunities to interact with orangutans. Can you please let me know if this is possible through the admission or through a paid encounter? I would be happy to schedule one with a donation as well. Also, it was not clear to me how the VIP tours may differ from a general admission plus lemur and sloth interaction. I am not interested in the VIP seats for shows so this is not an additional benefit that I would be willing to pay for. Any help in better explaining these in terms of encounters (differently from what is on the website) would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

There are orangutans in an enclosure, but encounters are NOT possible. We did not purchase VIP tickets or animal encounters, so I have no further info on that.
