Country Club of Miami is comprised of two beautifully manicured Florida golf courses, with lush fairways, and 36 championship holes. A Robert Trent Jones design, the club was founded in 1961, with Arnold Palmer as its first professional. As Country Club's most famous member and resident, comedian-actor Jackie Gleason played host to celebrity golfers including Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Jack Nicklaus played his first professional tournament and Lee Trevino won his fourth professional at the club.

The Country Club of Miami West Course, a 7,017-yard par-72 course with a slope of 132, hosted the 1991 Senior PGA Tour National Qualifying School. Its treacherous bunkers, lush fairways, and rolling greens offer a challenging adventure. The course was the original site for the former National Airlines Open.

The Country Club of Miami East Course, a 6,353-yard par-70 layout with a slope of 124, requires shot placement and strategy from both the novice and serious golfer.

Played here on a Friday, noon tee time. Though we had three foursomes ahead of us, we were still able to finish 18 in 4 1/2 hours. The title sums up the condition of the course. We played the 'easier' East course. Water in play on nearly every hole. Service at the clubhouse was very good.

The conditions on the course were excellent, especially given the fact that it had rained a lot the previous few days. Pace of play was good, I was a twosome and the foursome in front of us let us pass as soon as we caught them.

we played West course as the other one was undergoing maintenance. Lots of water hazards. the place is well maintained and greens are in a good shape/fast. you need to hit the ball straight otherwise you are in trouble. difficult course but enjoyable.

Our usual club was full so we popped in for a round of golf. If you watch your times you can get a great deal on the golf. It is winter so the majority of courses in Miami are dry and the greens can be a little sketchy. It was ok. We prefer to play the East course. People are... More

You get for what you pay for at this course and I guess the green fees are cheap enough twilight or weekdays. Don't pay over $40 to play this course, its not worth the dime. Save your money and go to Plantation Preserve, or if you're looking for cheap go to Flamingo Lakes where you will pay about half and... More

A real disappointment. Fairways were bare and rutted, greens had more sand than grass in places and just awful, sand is a kind name for the traps. Told afterwards by the cart guy that there have been major cutbacks and i wasn't the first person to complain this fall. Stay away.

The course is a good bargain and is in acceptable condition. It is a municipal course so lacks country club feel. The Grill is very good and I recommend adding it to your schedule. Easy access to outsiders if you are not golfing. The ribs are excellent and good value.

My brother and I played here in the rain, and even that was enjoyable. Also, the twilight round was a very good price ($30). We had a great time and played well. The restaurant crowd was hilarious, as they watched the NCAA tournament on the televisions. This is what public courses are about and we really got a home-feel about... More

The course is ok, Nothing to write home about, the staffs ok, the cart girl is attentive. With my score I should critize too much but its ok, if the green fee was cheaper I'd play there more often.

Thank Robert H
