About
Country Club of Miami is comprised of two beautifully manicured Florida golf courses, with lush fairways, and 36 championship holes. A Robert Trent Jones design, the club was founded in 1961, with Arnold Palmer as its first professional. As Country Club's most famous member and resident, comedian-actor Jackie Gleason played host to celebrity golfers including Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Jack Nicklaus played his first professional tournament and Lee Trevino won his fourth professional at the club. The Country Club of Miami West Course, a 7,017-yard par-72 course with a slope of 132, hosted the 1991 Senior PGA Tour National Qualifying School. Its treacherous bunkers, lush fairways, and rolling greens offer a challenging adventure. The course was the original site for the former National Airlines Open. The Country Club of Miami East Course, a 6,353-yard par-70 layout with a slope of 124, requires shot placement and strategy from both the novice and serious golfer.

On the advice of the starter, we played the East front 9 holes. We struggled to figure out where the holes were since the signage is really lacking. Course was in very poor shape. So switched to West front 9 holes. Fairways and greens were in much better shape than the East course. But signage was still terrible and difficult to find the next hole.

Otherwise, we enjoyed being out in the warm sunshine. A plus, is that green fees were cheap compared to some other courses.

Our usual club was full so we popped in for a round of golf. If you watch your times you can get a great deal on the golf. It is winter so the majority of courses in Miami are dry and the greens can be a little sketchy. It was ok. We prefer to play the East course. People are nice and pretty accomodating, they had had a tournament there that day and the staff was frazzled but tried their best. Note. Get on before 1.30 pm this time of year, there are some foursomes that will go out at 2pm and they will plan to just finish at sundown. The concept of playing through has not arrived to all countries.

The grill is nice, very complete menu and decent prices. The wait staff tries hard, again they were slammed on Sunday so I give them a pass. Onion rings were really good, and loved the wings.

We play there about every 4 or five weeks. There are nicer courses, as already mentioned, but the value here is good and not having to drive to Broward is nice.

You get for what you pay for at this course and I guess the green fees are cheap enough twilight or weekdays. Don't pay over $40 to play this course, its not worth the dime. Save your money and go to Plantation Preserve, or if you're looking for cheap go to Flamingo Lakes where you will pay about half and get about the same value. The course is NEVER in good shape and the staff doesn't give a c@#$ about it either.

To be fair, this review only applies to the golf course. If you are looking to practice cheap, they do have versatile short game facilities (albeit also in not so good shape) that other nicer courses don't have, and real turf to practice your long game. The key is cheap and ok, don't expect perfectly manicured and perfect bunkers. To be fair, the bar is also not that bad as it always has golf on TV and the wings and chilli are good. Hope this review helps fellow golfers out there.

A real disappointment. Fairways were bare and rutted, greens had more sand than grass in places and just awful, sand is a kind name for the traps.

Told afterwards by the cart guy that there have been major cutbacks and i wasn't the first person to complain this fall.

Stay away.

My brother and I played here in the rain, and even that was enjoyable. Also, the twilight round was a very good price ($30). We had a great time and played well. The restaurant crowd was hilarious, as they watched the NCAA tournament on the televisions. This is what public courses are about and we really got a home-feel about this place.

Having tried a few courses in the Miami I have to say this is my favorite for less than $100. The courses, actually there are two 18s, were in very good shape. There is a fair amount of water along the course but its manageable. I played here twice on my trip and I wish I'd spent more time here. Can't wait to come back.

The Country Club Miami Golf Course is a great value. There are two courses to choose from. West Course and East Course. They also have a driving range, putting green, and chipping green, which makes it an ideal place to practice on your whole game. I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this track. It's a great price, with full facilities, and two great 18 hole courses. I highly recommend.

Great course and a good price. I was impressed with the friendly staff and the layout of the course. If you are thinking about playing here do yourself a favor and book a tee time.
