Our party of four had an outstanding fishing adventure with Captain Abie. The fish weren't biting at our first stop but after moving to another spot the bite was on! We were pitching live pilchards as fast as we could, each time hooking a Jack and fighting it to the boat. Then Captain Abie took us to one of his secret spots and we were reeling in black tip sharks galore! The morning went by so quickly we could have stayed out all day. Captain Abie was very considerate of our whole party, and he paid special attention to our 8 year old angler, teaching him about the different fish and techniques. We even had a bonus back at the dock feeding finger mullet to the tarpon! Highly recommend - Five Stars!

I was told on the plane that the peacock bass fishing was good around Miami. Luckily I hooked up with Captain Abie. I did a 1/2 day trip and had good action with the Peacock Bass all morning. Captain Abie was very pleasant to fish with and I enjoyed all his knowledge of the fish and area. Well equipped. Clean, and just very pleasant to fish with. I highly recommend Captain Abie if you would like to catch Peacock Bass fish and any other species available. Thanks Captain Abie. We will hopefully see you again.

Nice, knowledgeable, productive, and reliable are just a few of the adjectives I use to describe Capt Abie Raymond. I have fished with Capt Abie for over 15 years. His mentor is the IGFA Hall of Fame and Billfish Foundation Gold medalist, Capt Bouncer Smith. Both of these two legendary guides worked side by side for 15 years. I try to fish with Capt Abie at least four times a year ( winter, spring, summer, and late fall). His fund of knowledge is unparalleled: a native of Miami Beach, he knows the front (Atlantic to Gulf Stream) and the back (Biscayne Bay) in a Jedi like fashion that one would only expect from a native Floridian. Depending on the time of year, he knows what fish are on location, the best spot, and the best terminal tackle. He can offer live bait fishing for sailfish, deep dropping for grouper, snappers, and amberjacks, or hunting for mahi. Since he knows Miami so well, he can locate tarpon when they are in town. As for snook and sea trout, he reliably can put you on these fish. He is a very kind person. He respects his customers showing a sincere concern that they enjoy their time aboard his vessel. He respects the environment and the precious marine life : he will release appropriately or harvest fish as you request. He also is an expert in freshwater: his knowledge of local Miami fresh water habitats allows him to offer exotic fishing including the Peacock Bass, Ciclids of various varieties, the clown knife fish, and fresh water snook and large mouth bass. He will teach your children the nuances of fishing and will become a life long part of your family’s experience and memories. Simply put, he is the real deal: nice, kind, productive, and just plain FUN!!

Capt Abie was fantastic. He was very patient and helpful with my 11 year son. He put us on fish quickly and set up surprises ( Shark and barracuda) for him the whole trip. A great experience. Possibly one of the best charters in Miami. Can not wait to charter another trip with him again.

We always fish in saltwater when in Florida but decided to try some local freshwater fishing. Captain Abie was recommended by another captain. We were not disappointed. Caught peacock bass after peacock bass and a clown knife fish. Peacock bass fight hard! Captain Abie is an all-around great guy and is very personable. He is a passionate fisherman and clearly knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

Captain Abie Raymond is the best. The reason his vessel is called GO HARD is because he is relentless is how hard he works for every guest aboard his clean, perfectly outfitted center console boat. Abie is a native son of Miami Beach , having grown up fishing Biscayne Bay and the waters off of Miami. The consummate gentleman, he was the right hand man of the South Florida fishing legend Captain Bouncer Smith: Bouncer and Abie worked side by side for over a decade. I have known Abie for greater than 15 years : fishing with him at least once per annum. I recently completed 3 days of back to back fishing with Captain Abie. He never disappoints. He works so hard to find the fish : realizing that weather conditions impact fish mobility, their location, their feeding, and the bite, he is versatile in making changes to meet the day !
Each day was different and exciting. Every day on the Go Hard Fishing with Abie Raymond is priceless: fun, laughter, Abi’s tenacity, attention to detail, fund of knowledge, and expertise produces an incredible experience . On day one and two , the anglers were Tim and his son Bodey: for Bodey , his first sailfish and Blackfin Tuna : for Tim a prized Black grouper : in addition to these prized fish, we caught a myriad of species :
Sailfish
Shark
Manta Ray
Amberjack
BF Tuna
Mutton Snapper
Mangrove Snapper
Jack Crev
Horse Eye Jack
Snook
Tarpon
Black Grouper
Amberjack
Barracuda
Kingfish
Almaco Jacks
Mahi Mahi
Day 3 we hit a nice variety too !
Finally, Abie is kind and an expert teacher. For young anglers he calmly teaches technique in catching prized fish . For experts, his fund of knowledge is unsurpassed and he constantly gives one new techniques. The experience is simply the best way to spend time on the water either offshore or in the bay : just tell Abie your fishing desire and he will CUSTOM fit the trip to meet your desires.
Call 305-775-5197 to book a memorable day on the water off Miami or on Biscayne Bay .

Fishing with Capt. Abie was one of the most fun guided fishing charters I have ever been on. He is an excellent captain and a very fun and positive guy to be around. He knows what is he doing and definitely know how to get you on the fish. When me and my family fished with him for 4 hours we caught 25 fish and 3 different species, also saw a few interesting sites. Finally got to scratch the peacock bass off the bucket list! I highly recommend taking a trip fishing with Capt. Abie!

How can I cram all the good things about Captain Abie into a comment box? My family has been fishing with Abie for over a decade. He is the consummate professional, a true expert in all things fishing in and around South Florida. I have never had a bad, or even a mediocre day fishing with Abie. I have caught big fish, small fish, colorful fish, fish who fought hard, and fish I was able to reel in easily, all with Abie’s coaching and guidance. Abie has guided us to fishing on the open water, in the bay, and in secret freshwater locations. Every trip has been a blast. He is very good at explaining what you need to do and answering questions. He is kind and patient and generous with his extensive knowledge. He’s also fun and hilarious. I would never fish with anyone else. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Captain Abie!!!!!

Fished with Abie many times over the years, as great as he is with the knowledge and getting you on fish, he’s even better with my kids. Patient and incredibly interested in teaching them. It’s a treat to fish with him.
