We took a boat ride around Star Island. Our tour boat left out of Bayside Marketplace. We took the tour right around sunset so it was very beautiful with the Miami skyline. We saw all the Million dollar homes. It was a great tour

We celebrated our son’s birthday aboard El Loro! An unforgettable party indeed! We left the dock at 9 pm, enjoyed the views of the Miami city skyline, danced all night with the assistance of an amazing DJ, and returned back to the dock at midnight. The crew and team in charge of the event were amazing and made sure that everyone had a good time and stayed safe.

This boat is the perfect venue in Miami to host an event! We will certainly consider using it again.

Thanks again to Miami Aqua Tours and the crew for top notch services!

Bought tickets on a Wednesday for a Friday evening and was told Friday morning the boats are closed due to Covid and I’d have to work with Trip Advisor to get my refund (will take 10 days).

Don’t waste your money, this is a scam, they’re leaving their page open just to see who buys tickets and fails to get refunds. Boats have been closed for weeks.

Dear customer, We really regret the inconveniences presented, unfortunately as a company we also suffer the results of this world situation, for the date of your tour, we were week by week waiting for the extension or suspension of operations according to the decision of the City of Miami, you can review the emergency orders published by them on their website, and you will realize that we did not do it as you mentioned "to see who bought tickets", on the contrary, we follow the orders of the City of Miami, and Each of the customers who bought their tickets on our website we refund their money, we also authorized to process the refund of purchases made through our operators. This is an unprecedented situation and we have been committed to the care of our staff and our clients, it is unfortunate that for this reason we are accused of scammers since we are not, we are a company with more than 20 years of work and we send you our excuses but we do not accept your accusation which we ask you to rectify.

We took the 4:30 cruise on a Friday afternoon. We booked our tickets online and was double charged by their system. It took several phone calls and we eventually got it straightened out. There was hardly anyone on the boat. The insisted on taking a photo of everyone as they boarded but never did anything with it. Maybe a total of 20 people on the top of the boat. The staff arrived late and we were late in leaving the dock even though they told us to be there quite early. It was a very slow moving exursion with blasting music when we went by a famous persons home who use to live there. We liked the boat ride and to be out on the water but this tour needs updating and more explanation of the area historically, culturally and areas of interest other than homes you go by with blasting music. The guide did a great job with English and Spanish. We will not ever do a boat tour with this company again.

I bought a Groupon for our family of 10 people for a trip to Miami. We only had a 48 hour window to book the trip, so I called over and over and over again for 48 hours straight to try to book the cruise. I left voicemail messages, text messages and even Whatsapp messages (all methods given on their website). After 48 hours, I traded my Groupon in for Captain Jimmy's Fiesta Cruise (which was AMAZING), and I never even received a phone call or text back from this company. I'm not sure if they just took a week off for the New Year or what, but it just seemed like bad business to me.

We did this as part of the Miami Explorer Pass. When we were boarding, we declined to be photographed because we weren't into buying the photos they wanted to sell us afterword. On cruse ships, this is not a problem. Here, they made a big stink and claimed it was Miami Harbor Authority regulations that all passengers had to be photographed, yada, yada. They wouldn't let us board, so we relented. That set a bad tone form the rest of the cruise.

The rest of the tour was so-so. All announcements were made both in English and Spanish, which got kind of tiresome, but this is Miami! Drink prices were outrageous ($10 for a can of beer, $15 cocktails) and were reduced as we were heading back. What's up with that? What was advertised as a 90-minute cruise ended up being 80 minutes (I clocked it.) The information was informative, but some of it was repetitive for us because we had already taken a duck boat tour of the same area. (Note to file: Don't do both.)

Couldn't hear half of what they were saying. The information was all about "this famous person "used" to live here" and there was no "historical pirate" information at all. The seating is just wooded garden benches, most of which are falling apart and the food and beverage on board is too expensive. All in all, however, it was a nice day out on a boat down along the shore so it would have been better if it was only 20.00 each for what we got out of it. If you think it's a fun pirate themed ride good for kids, however, you're wrong.

I got a groupon for this and decided to check it out with my mother who is town visiting me. I wasn't pleased with a surcharge fee that is sprung on customers upon checking in. Groupon should state ahead of time that you'll be expected to pay an additional fee that supposedly the city forces on customers. But whatever--I'll take that up with Groupon because it seemed a bit suspect. Then there is the problem with pushing off nearly 15 minutes late. We were told to be at the dock half an hour early and we were. To wait 40 minutes in the hot sun was a bit annoying.

As for the trip--it was fine. It's kind of corny but I kind of expected that given it's aimed at a certain kind of tourist. Maybe it's extra corny to me as I live here and had to grind my way through the over rehearsed bad jokes but my elderly mom didn't seem to mind. (Unfortunately for me -- I'm bilingual and had to hear them twice in English and Spanish). What I did mind was the attitude of the guy who was driving the boat. I found him to be distastefully unprofessional as he was overly gruff with some of the other passengers saying to them "MOVE!" because they were in the back. They assumed he meant to move to another area and explained that there were no other seats left. The guy was and he yelled again "MOOOOOVE" without explaining that he needed to get to the rope to push off the boat. You could tell they were annoyed and it was unprofessional because it unnecessarily raise the tension of what was supposed to be a pleasant trip. If you don't have the facility to speak English well enough to explain your intent with some form of grace--you really should find another job where you're not expected to work with English speakers. Just saying -- and I'm perfectly bilingual so I expect this of my fellow Miami folks working in this tourist industry.

I found this company via Groupon where I paid for 5 sightseeing cruises. I thought this sight-seeing cruise would make a perfect surprise for my friend and his family visiting for his birthday. The Groupon stated "Reservation required" under " The Fine Print" section however it stated "Reservation required for sunset champagne cruise" under "How to Use This" section. Very confusing since I purchased the sight-seeing cruise, not sunset. I called the two numbers listed to make reservations for TWO DAYS; only got a machine. After I was unable to reach them by phone, I drove to Bayside where they are located on Friday 11/23/12 at 11 am. After paying $6 for parking, I located the stand where I spoke to a man who was in charge of booking the clipper ship style boat. I informed him I called to make reservations for two days since I really wanted to take my guests out on that boat at 2:30 that afternoon. He informed me that the 2:30 was for the glass bottom boat but he could get us on the clipper at 3:30. Perfect, or at least I thought. I asked to make reservations for 3:30 for 5 people. Not necessary he said. I asked to trade the printed Groupons I was holding for tickets. Not necessary again since he will have 5 spots waiting for us. I asked "should we be here about 1/2 hour before sailing?" and he stated "be here at least 10 minutes before sailing. Wow, this just seemed too easy. It was. After driving home and getting ready for this big birthday surprise, I picked up my guests who were staying in Ft. Lauderdale, about 1/2 hour from my home and in the opposite direction of Bayside. I then drove all of us back down to Bayside where I now had to pay $10 for parking. We arrived at the boat 20 minutes early and when we showed up the guy told me "5 people right?" I confirmed and he went and spoke to a man that turned out to be the captain of the boat. He came back to me and said we had to be on "stand by" since they were expecting some tour bus. Now I am pissed but kept my cool. 3:30 came and went and I said to the man, "Seems there is no tour bus so can we go?" which he then stated, "no we have to wait". Now I am about to have a meltdown but kept my cool out of respect to my guests. At 3:45 the man came over to me and said the tour bus WAS CLOSE and we would not be able to go on the trip but we could do a glass bottom boat in an hour. I told him what he could do with all of their boats and we left. I refuse to do business with these people EVER and I do not want them to have one penny of my hard earned money so I requested a refund from Groupon. Do not do business with these SCAM ARTISTS since they knew they already had my money so they could care less about keeping me happy and catered to the bus full of people which I never saw. Miami at it's best.
