Fun Place to Visit

This is a very fun place to visit! Watching the monkeys in a natural environment was very entertaining. The shows were educational and our favorite was King the gorilla.

OK, I was younger the first time here and still a yankee. Our friends wanted to stop here so we did. Kids will like it, not as well kept up.

Monkey Jungle is a short drive from Miami in Homestead, FL and about 10 minutes to the Spice and Fruit Park just down the road ( another little gem ). Monkey Jungle started as a Monkey sanctuary in 1932. It houses many species of monkeys but I think my favorite are the Crab Eating Macaques that run freely about and... More

We were hoping to see the Orangutan and Gorilla along with their other monkeys. After driving 70 miles and paying a very high admission, we found out the Orang was not on exhibit-she has been sick for weeks. The gorilla can only be seen during a keeper inter action 2 x a day. Signage thru out park was poor at... More

This place is amazing. For the most part the monkeys are loose and the humans walk below. The squirrel monkeys drop a bowl on a chain so you can feed them. The monkeys then lift their food up and eat. There are larger monkeys in cages. The larger monkeys are fed by either dropping food down a pipe or placing... More

I visited this place years ago. I am an animal lover and when visited I really enjoyed the place I would not recommend visiting this place during Summer season, most probably due to hot weather you would not see many animals. best time to visit during January through May. fun place to visit specially for kids.

A little over priced but it pays for the animals. My kids loved feeding the monkeys from the inside. It's a very small place, quick to go through. You can buy the monkey food there for .25-.75 per box of craisons.

I love both animals and especially monkeys, so this is kind of a big deal place for me. If I could rate it higher than excellent, I would. Admission seems a bit steep, and I've seen that echoed in some comments, but I will retort with the following: 1. If you live in Florida or plan on coming back, you... More

We hunted this attraction out via Google and headed over to visit for the afternoon. Entrance fee is $29.95 per adult. It's not a particularly large attraction, although, I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand for the few monkeys we saw you were able to spend time viewing. On the other hand when you arrive and are told... More

I am so glad I stumbled onto this attraction. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Just feeding the monkeys in the cages was so much better than a zoo day. However, the rain forest experience was beyond my wildest expectations. You go in with the monkeys and they give you food and teach you how to encourage the... More
