The "reverse" July 4th Parade brought us to this gem of a place. We will return!
Jul 2020
We found here a deep sense of patriotism and gratitude and respect on July 4th, when the world is turbulent, history is being questioned or re-written, being able to show appreciation and respect to our veterans on July 4th was very meaningful. The parade had to be "reverse" due to Covid 19 precautions - the parade floats and participant were parked along the highway, huge flag suspended from a fire truck boom and all, and spectators drove by waving flags, honking, giving thanks, cheering and showing gratitude for all those who have served and are serving, and will be serving. We discovered this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and plan to come back and visit the museum, take more time in the memorial park, and explore the other parts of the park.

Dozens of Uniforms to See
Dec 2019 • Couples
Although this museum is small, it packs an incredible amount of information. Every conflict has been lovingly preserved and recounted for visitors. There is quite a collection of actual artifacts, equipment, and weapons. The volunteers are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This was well worth the visit. I’d like to see a manikin dressed like a traditional middle eastern male with the “man dress” and head scarf that we saw so many of in Kuwait and Iraq.

Hidden Gem

I took my son here and he had a lot of questions, there are many that can not be fully detailed in an explanation as he is 4. I do however think that is important for him to see and hear of all that so many have fought for and died for and been left wounded for.
It is a beautiful park with memorials and museum and if your on the Island you should stop by.

Great Getaway That's Nearby
Sep 2019
This is a great park for walking, running, biking or just chillin. There are many Vietnam and Cold War battle machines that will bring back memories of a past era. Plus you can also seek Veterans benefits and assistance with volunteers inside the museum. Bring your fishing pole or a picnic basket and enjoy a few hours reminiscing with old friends and meet new ones and this wonder memorial and military museum.

2019-16 “Awesome Display”
Jul 2019
The museum, located in Merritt Island, FL., is open seven days a week, (check web site for hours of operation) is a non-profit organization depending on volunteers. It has an amazing array of military memorabilia, ranging from the Revolutionary war to today’s conflicts. It is a very interesting and informative museum and is appropriate for children as well as adults. Be prepared to spend from two to four hours depending how much time you are willing to spend reading all the history that’s available.
There’s no change; however, donations are suggested.

What an amazing find! This is a must stop for any proud American!
Jul 2019 • Couples
We stopped here during our visit to Cocoa Beach. We truly stopped as we read it was free. However, after spending over two and a half hours in awe, we were happy to make a donation on our way out. Anyone who has any interest in what our military does to protect us (which should be everyone) should visit this place. It also felt like a trip through history walking through the museum. They have the military displays laid out in chronological order of the American wars. The upstairs is more special ops and personal effects which was also neat. Volunteers are there to assist if you have any questions or want to know more about a particular war. GREAT PLACE!!!

A Great Veteran facility
Jul 2018 • Couples
Since I reside in the immediate area, it was an honor several years ago to be present at this memorial to welcome then Presidential candidate Senator John McCain, on one of his straight talk bus tours. As a fellow Viet Nam era Navy veteran, I was proud to meet and be photographed with the Senator.
This facility contains a most complete museum of military artifacts and memorabilia.
