Booking was easy as Captain Quinn replied in a timely manner and texted very specific instructions on how to find the marina he was launching from. The parking lot was well maintained and we felt safe keeping our vehicle there for the two hour tour. He arrived right on time with his clean comfortable pontoon boat that was supplied with cold drinks (soda, juice, water and beer). He provided narration of our ride down the Banana River about the various wildlife we saw. We saw LOTS of manatees, a large alligator and many different birds. The boat motor was quiet and it was a beautiful day with slightly overcast skies and a pleasant breeze. As the captain had a charter fishing license, he asked if we wanted a chance to fish at his secret “honey holes” . YES!! We caught about an 18” Speckled Sea Trout that he helped net and after a few quick photos it was released to the beautiful ocean waters. Captain Quinn even gave us keepsake can cozies with our beverages and provided us with sunscreen that we had forgotten to bring. We cannot express enough about how professional and attentive he was to make this ride the highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Coastal Lagoon Tours!!!

We booked a private 4 hour tour and had a most wonderful time! This was money well spent, you can tour as a private group or as a small group with a few others, 2 hours or 4, so something for every budget. The boat was plenty big and comfortable. We mentioned to Captain Quinn that we hadn't seen Spoonbills after a couple of trips up to Merritt Island and he knew where to look and delivered big time! We also saw and photographed dolphins, manatees and even a young alligator. Spying wildlife is luck to be sure, but to have the luck, you have to know where to look and Captain Quinn knows where to look. We did some shelling and enjoyed a wonderful boat ride on the lagoon. Captain Quinn gave us many recommendations which worked out so perfectly! Where to go for sunset pictures, where to buy a sea-shelf serving plate, and so much more. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely do this again next time we are in the area!

Loved the tour with Captain Quinn, not only did we see lots of dolphins and manatees, he is an awesome tour guide, down to earth, fun and thoroughly enjoys his time doing these tours. He;s been doing them for 12 years, they are for smaller groups, which is really nice, he gets as excited as his passengers, when he sees the dolphins, manatees, etc. We stopped at a little beach/island, and he helped find us some conch shells, that are really pretty. He offers a cold beverage during the tour, and gives you a Koozie to keep. He is very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us some great sightseeing tips. I would highly recommend this tour, Captain Quinn is a great guy/tour guide, Thanks! Hopefully we will see you again on our next trip!

I had originally called another boat tour company that seated about 25 passengers or so. Since I was looking for a smaller boat with less people on board, the owner referred me to Captain Quinn's Coastal Lagoon Tours. I'm so glad he did; what a wonderful experience!!! There were only four other passengers on board besides my husband and me, and the experience was so much more enjoyable and personable. We were able to see and take photos from either side of the boat and Captain Quinn shared his knowledge and answered questions and was just a joy to talk with. He was so easy-going and we were able to see a lot of dolphins, cormorants, and a glimpse of a manatee and the wing-tip fins of a ray. It rained a bit during our outing but it still was a fantastic trip! I'd definitely would like to do it again and highly recommend Coastal Lagoon Tours to anyone who would like to have an amazing experience in spotting the local wildlife. Captain Quinn is the best and we ended up having lunch at one of the places he recommended. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and now I have some great photos and film clips to take home with me! Thanks Captain Quinn ... wish you the best!!!

What a perfect way to enjoy a few hours on the water! Capn Quinn is a stand up guide, very knowledgeable about the local fauna & flora, has a special knack for inspiring the kiddos, and goes out of his way to ensure you are comfortable on his vessel. We are local residents of Central Florida and always seeking an opportunity to explore the little gems that surround us in this wonderful state. Capn Quinn and his #CoastalLagoonTour are certainly one the best gems we have found on the space coast. As the opportunities presented themselves, Capn Quinn made sure that we got to see plenty of manatees, dolphins, rosette spoonbill, great blue herons, pelicans, and a rare glimpse of an anhinga snake bird eating a fish. A few mullet jumping in the water as we cruised along was a nice bonus as well. Whether you are local to Florida or just passing through as a welcome tourist, make sure that you put this journey on your bucket list! Thank you again Capn Quinn for sharing the gems you have found!
Best!

Hey Josh,Jamie,Paris & Petra,
Thank you so very much for the most excellent review. What a great morning
on the water and virtually all to ourselves. We did get lucky with the wildlife, as one can never guarantee sightings. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life is a good thing once in a while. Glad you and the family enjoyed it.
Warmest Regards,

Captain Quinn is a gem and will give you a great tour. We have gone twice because our granddaughter loved it so much. His detail knowledge of the area is a plus and he genuinely loves what he is doing. Highly recommend the two hour tour or Captain Quinn's willingness to tailor a tour to your needs.

We booked a trip on the Florida intercoastal waterway on the Banana River with Coastal Lagoon Tours
Skipper Quinn was very knowledgeable about the area waters, flora, and fauna. Our 2 hour tour was fantastic. We saw alligators, nesting bald eagles, manatees, and pelicans fishing. Then to top it off, we had a family of Dolphins swimming around our boat for over 15 minutes. I recommend Coastal Lagoon Tours to anyone, any age, who wants to have a good time amd learn more about Florida

We had an amazing time today with Captain Quinn! My two year old wanted to see dolphins and boy did they cooperate! Captain Quinn went above and beyond to make sure our little guy saw all kinds of sea creatures….dolphins, manatees, gators! Even our tween daughter had a blast (which is shocking if you know tweens)! He is a great, pleasant and engaging captain. We got to stop on a little island and he helped us find some amazing shells. I can’t recommend this tour enough - best two hours of our vacation!

Great nature tours depend on great guides who know their business, love their work, and want you to go home with lifetime memories. Captain Quinn gets full marks on all counts. As a nature photographer my pictures are my memories. Good ones are hard to come by. On a boat they require a Captain who knows where the critters are, anticipates their moves, and works hard to get you in the best position for the best shot. Better still, Captain Quinn is the kind of guy it's fun to have fun with. If being up close and personal with nature makes you smile, you'll love this trip.

This was a great tour. I went on this tour with my wife and mother-in-law. There was another couple that was also on the tour with us. The atmosphere was relaxed and everyone was very friendly. The boat was spacious. We saw plenty of wildlife. The dolphins were in rare form and very playful. Captain Quinn was outstanding. He gave excellent commentary along the way and was happy to answer questions. We all had a great time and I would highly recommend this tour.

Do we get to touch Dolphins? Will we for sure see dolphins?
Written March 22, 2015
Hi and thanks for the question!!!! The Dolphins we encounter are wild and unpredictable, it is against the LAW to touch, feed or interfere with their daily activities. Companies that advertise that you can swim with the dolphins in the wild are misleading at best. In the waters of the Banana River Lagoon, a dolphin will never allow you to get close to him if you are in the water. He may swim by 20-30ft. away, but that's as close as they will ever get to you. While you are on my tour, SOMETIMES, they swim right next to the boat, within 5ft. I could never guarantee that you will see them as they are wild mammals and go where they please, but this time of year, I have a 99% sucsess rate in sightings. Please call if you have any other questions, thank you!! 321-446-8977
