This park is located at the turn where Ocean Ave turns north and becomes Riverside Drive. It is across from Djon’s Steak and Lobster house and to the west of the Fire station. It has several nice features to it. There is the historical Ryckman and Beaujean houses and railroad tracks, a pier, and a playground. The parking is directly in front of the park along the road. The spaces are numbers and there is a pay station for your convenience. It cost about $2/hour. There are several informational displays by the houses and the pier. The pier is very nice and can give you a lovely view of the sunset across the water and has a unique design feature that allows you to walk on the outside of the pier. The playground has a basketball court, swing set, and jungle jim. Along the path is a set of post with road signs with distances to different locations around the globe. All parts of the park seem very clean and well kept. There is a set of restrooms behind the Ryckman house. Overall, I thought this was a very nice park for walking, playing or learning the history of the local area. Definitely a good place to stop if you are in the area.

The park was clean and had many options for families or couples to explore. There was a family having birthday party on Saturday and everyone seemed to be having a great celebration. The park is large enough to accommodate many people without feeling crowded.

We were able to see the opposite shore from Melbourne and it is the only time I have ever seen 10+ communities firework displays simultaneously. Right near old town and restaurants and shops...

I’ve been going to this park for 30 years. I haven’t been there in the last year and a half until tonight because covid kept me away from enjoying group activities. Tonight I went, parked at the curb, to join a yoga class and returned to find a ticket on my car. Seems the park decided to start charging for parking. Inadequate signage, no sign at all where I parked, and I received a parking ticket. Along with about 25 other people. You say no big deal? The ticket was for $50!!!! No warning no first time offense discount. I think that’s outrageous and money grubbing. Be warned.

This pier is a popular fishing spot, but it also has a beautiful view of the Indian River Lagoon. Pelicans seem to enjoy this place as well. There are benches around to sit and relax.

Beautiful park in the heart of Melbourne Beach. Located on the Indian River with great water views. The park has public restrooms, tennis courts, basket ball court, children's play ground, covered gazebo, bocce ball court, picnic tables, and a fishing pier. Great place to play sports or picnic. It is very quite and great for all ages. A great place to visit whether you are a visitor or resident.

This is a quiet little park with a playground, beautiful gazebo and a pier out over the river. There are places for a picnic and is especially beautiful at sunset! Great for families, couples or just for people watching.

This place has a great playground for kids and you can fish off the pier on the river. There is limited parking but it's usually not a problem.

They have a pier currently partly closed and being repaired due to Hurricane Matthew. The park has bench seating near the river's edge in several places which are great for watching the sunsets. The park has a couple of hundred feet of river frontage. There is a new basketball court, There is a tennis court. There is a large gazebo popular for weddings and there is a large playground for the kids and a bocci ball court. The business area with restaurants, library, and a grocery store are a couple of blocks east. Nice little community with friendly folks.

Not only an interesting spot of great historical significance, the park has tennis courts and sidewalks that wind around plus gazebos and clean restrooms. The children's playscape is well maintained and the walks lead to the pier that gives a gorgeous view of the river. Great for children and also, for romantic moments. Sunsets are also divine from this location.
