About
We start our tours with a short instruction session on shore, then work with you while out on the water to ensure you are getting the most out of your experience. We provide bottled water, a small snack and take lots of digital photos while we are out on the water. We modify our routes to account for wind conditions and where we've been seeing wildlife. We paddle in the mangroves off the main Indian River Lagoon, which provides us with rich wildlife and bird sightings. We never guarantee manatee or dolphins will be in our area, since they are wild animals. But, we try to go to areas where we have seen them in the past few days. We launch from a privately owned boat ramp off of A1A and Old Florida Trail rd. The launch facility has bathrooms, plenty of parking and is well maintained. In addition, the facility is listed as a Florida Historical Site.

My boyfriend and I had always wanted to try stand up paddle boarding and very glad we booked with these guys. The location was amazing -really peaceful and quiet.
We did an afternoon trip and saw stingrays and manatees.
Fernando and Dina were excellent and more than happy to answer any questions we threw at them and gave us paddling tips and provided drinking water along the way.
Communication when booking was very efficient and we were kept in touch with regarding weather conditions.

I was visiting my folks in Melbourne with my boyfriend, and looking for some fun "Florida" activities. Fernando and Dena delivered. The excursion meets at Honest John's Fish Camp in deep Melbourne Beach. After being measured for paddles, Dena gave a quick lesson on what to expect and how to stand up on our paddle boards - which are also designed by Fernando (Basilisk boards). Then one by one we got into the water and slowly but surely stood up and started paddling. The tour is about two hours and if you're lucky and nature is cooperating, you will see dolphins, manatees, and a variety of Florida birds. It is best to dress in beach attire in case you do walk into the water. Either water shoes or barefoot. Leave keys, wallets, cameras, in the car. Fernando snaps pics during the tour and uploads them to Facebook, sending an email to let you know when they are ready to view. Overall, this was a fun way to spend a couple hours in the Melbourne area. And Honest John's is conveniently close to SBI for a post-paddling drink and snack with a killer ocean view.

Awesome adventure! Before we started we were met with a dolphin family of four who entertained us for several minutes...even came back for an encore performance during the instruction time which made it difficult for me to concentrate because I was drawn to watching them...lol! We were given great instruction and everyone had a wonderful time. We saw many dolphin, several manatee, several otters swimming across from island to island, a raccoon swimming across, several herons and other birds, and many fish. The day was beautiful and the water was refreshing. The guides Dina and Fernando were the best! They were very helpful, friendly, and personable. They made sure we all were having the best time possible! This was the best way to spend my 4th of July morning! We were given water and granola bars halfway through the tour.

Beautiful unspoiled area, great guides, and small group. Fernando and Dina were super nice, and excellent instructors. We were a little apprehensive about falling in, etc. but ended up having a GREAT morning... very relaxing, beautiful and peaceful (we didn't fall in, but it doesn't matter... water is very shallow). Saw manatees and dolphins up close. Bring sunscreen.

Overall, stand-up paddle boarding is not as difficult as I expected. Had a little break in the middle, which served as a snack break and photo opportunity. The guides are fun and easy to talk to. Really the only thing that could have made this better is alcohol.
2 things worth noting:
-You can bring your own food/drink on the tour.
-You can bring your dog with you on the tour; might want to give the guides a heads-up whenever you make your reservation though.

We had so much fun. It was an experience we will always remember. The instructors were so patient, encouraging, knowledgable and accommodating. Loved the snacks, water break inbetween and all the information we learned about the environment and wildlife. To top it all off having dolphins swimming around us. Thanks for the pictures you took of the family during the adventure. :)

We had a great time on the water paddling with our wonderful instructors! They gave great lessons for first time paddlers and made us feel calm and relaxed on the water. We saw several dolphins and manatees throughout our paddle. A mother manatee with baby followed us along the majority of our adventure, it's was exciting to see such interesting sea creatures!! We would definitely do this again. Like them on Facebook and receive an additional 10$ off per person, a worth while deal. We even got to enjoy posted photos after our paddle that we have access to, Thank SUP Eco Adventures for a great day!

What a great day! We ha so much fun paddling around. We even got to see a dolphin jump out of the water and a manatee stuck its nose up at us. Thanks for a great time relaxing in nature and telling us about all things Florida!

Had a great time on my first stand up paddle board "tour". Fernando and his wife were so fun...and despite an iffy weather start, we had a great time. Saw lots of dolphin and even got up close and personal with a manatee. Amazing experience to have one almost put his head on the board. Even though I ended up getting very wet (lost concentration and fell in the river), it was a very fun experience. I highly recommend this Eco-tour. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome time spending Debi’s birthday with SUP Eco Adventures Tours. Fernando and Dina are great guides. Very professional with good equipment. Saw plenty of manatees and wildlife. They e-mailed us several pictures of our adventure. We will be back with our family and friends.

Hello, I’ll be in Melbourne in March and my husband and I have wanted to go kayaking for a few years now. However I have a disability making it impossible for me to be able to help paddle us. Is it ok if he is the only one and I am just a passenger?

I'm sorry, we only do Stand up paddle boarding tours and it is one person per board.
