This is a wonderful little theater...they put on quality shows! Their actors are talented and their staff from the front office through production are amazing people. Always feel welcomed and have enjoyed every show since moving here 7 years ago. Affordable and very entertaining.

We were staying in the local area last weekend for our anniversary and when I was doing the planning for the weekend I was looking for something unique when I came across the Civic Theater. WOW is all I can say. What a great little theater! The production playing was a comedy, "I Hate Hamlet".

Okay, first the venue. Great little intimate playhouse. Lobby area has some seating to sit and relax before the show and the staff is really friendly. Theater itself seats by my estimate about 100 in stadium-style seating with the "stage" at floor level. Although I don't think I would recommend the front row, there really are no bad seats. We sat third row on the right hand section.

Now the cast: First rate! Very well cast and believable, great acting.

Concessions: Beverages and snacks available in the lobby.

We will be watching for other shows to attend whenever we happen to be in the area.

Went to the Melbourne Civic Theater, which is so small there are no bad seats in the house and everyone can easily hear the actors. Each production has a great cast. The show we just saw was "Sylvia" about a couple who adopt a dog named Sylvia. If you've ever had a dog, you can really relate to this play. The only objection was the use of swear words which is not necessary, especially since the audience is mostly retired. Instead of taking the Lord's name in vain and using the F word repeatedly, simply say something less offensive.

We have frequented the MCT over the years, mostly for comedy and drama productions...we were leery of amateur musicals. Boy were we wrong! The theater is always great, every seat is a great one. But the production of DRS was magnificent, funny and wildly entertaining. I don't think I have laughed so hard in years. If you can catch this production....run to buy tickets. You won't be sorry.

Small, intimate theater delivering cutting edge plays with very good local talent. Well organized and friendly, this venue offers an excellent thinking person's date night or evening with friends. Going solo? No worries, it won't be for long. Regular crowd is very friendly.

Go to a show here every winter. Wonderful entertainment. Excellent local talent. Of the recent shows in the last several years liked Into The Woods best. Thought the new entrance and lobby a great improvement. There is not a bad seat in the house!

This is a first class theatre Co. That has been going on for over 60 years. Their plays are fresh , yet classic, every seat is basically a good one, with only about 100 seats, very intimate! The actors are so tallented, and direction by Peg Girard absolutely first class.

They are the best local theater you will find. There are other small theaters in area but nothing can compare.
