Ballard Park is the Melbourne area's nicest, best-maintained public park with boat launch facilities. It's well hidden behind a residential neighborhood, so it usually only gets crowded on the busier boating weekends throughout the year.

I go there to get bait" but it is a great place to set and watch the birds and boats or have a picnic lunch!

Very nice community park on riverfront. Large green areas. Well-maintained. Something for everyone. Water sports. Fishing. Boat ramp. Basketball court. Tennis courts. Large Playground. Picnic areas with tables, grills, pavilion. Good park for walking. Beautiful views of river and waterfowl.

Came here with my aunt who wanted to take a break from shopping. This park has two picnic tables under canopies and a bench. While we were there, a couple of families stopped to eat lunch. There are barbecue pits as well and a garbage...More
