More
The Foosaner Art Museum, located in the Eau Gallie Arts District, was established March 8, 1978 as the Brevard Art Center and Museum, Inc. On July 1, 2011, the Museum merged with the Florida Institute of Technology. A $1 million gift was received from the Foosaner Foundation to benefit the Museum, now officially known as the Foosaner Art Museum. The Museum is a gathering place, a visitor attraction, a landmark, an anchor, a catalyst for change; we exist to educate and to deliver a message that will encourage people to think differently about their relationship to others and the world; a center of creativity, the Museum collects, displays and interprets all aspects of the visual arts, particularly women artists, in ways that relate to the past, to the present, and to the future. The Foosaner Art Museum’s permanent collection is comprised of five categories: Modern and Contemporary Art, The Conill Mendoza Collection of American Industrial Design, Asian Art, Cultural Education Collection and Women Artists.Throughout the year, visitors can experience a changing selection from the Museum’s permanent collection. Lectures, Jazz Fridays and Free Thursdays are just a few events that populate our ongoing calendar. Visit our website, or like us on Facebook to stay informed of our current exhibitions and events.

Enjoyed taking my niece to this small art museum. They offered a few nice pieces, but no pictures were allowed to be taken (which is understandable). Not an all day event, but would go back again.

A wonderful little museum - which has some great special exhibits going on at different times. It is situated in the downtown eats district of Eau Gallie close to the river. Great walking area with lots to see. Surrounded by local restaurants and bakery shops.

Small but very nice gallery, each exhibit is there on a display for a few weeks or months. Local and exotic art. 2 hours will be more than enough
