Or paint your very own coconut postcard to keep or mail back home (no box needed- mails as is). You can also paint your own painting in the garden with the help of Vino's Picasso (Seasonal Nov-April). You can also enjoy homemade ( "Love Boat Ice Cream")ice-cream right out of a real coconut shell and guess what? You can keep the shell and take it back home to remind you of the happy memories you made while visiting one of Florida's most popular historic landmarks and destinations.

I like her colorful, sparkly work and own several pieces. It's someplace I always take friends and family when they're in town because it's local and different. (I try to overlook the Trump stuff, seeing how everyone is entitled to their own opinion) The garden is fun for a quick visit.
She offers her work in many different sizes and styles so that it's affordable depending on your price range.
Check out the fire house, on the south side of Pine Island Road, as you head out of Matlacha towards the East. Her works are featured below each window on the sherbet colored building.

The artwork is very colorful in bright pastel colors; on the pricey side. We loved the garden behind the studio with butterflies and creative art objects; very whimsical. The best attraction in our opinion on Matlacha.

Bright, brilliant and just plain fun! Leoma Lovegrove is a truly gifted artist. The vibrant color choices, the humor, each painting telling a different story, simply amazing. Each time we have visited something different surfaces, we just can't get enough! In back of the gallery awaits another surprise, a garden filled with humor and color, overlooking the mangroves and the Matalcha waterfront. Such fun and a must visit, it will be the happiest part of your day :).

Her style is very tropical & colorful with glitter on some. Definitely not for everyone but she clearly has talent. The shop kinda felt like a tourist trap - expensive but I saw people buying things. The real treasure is the garden in the back. Go out and take some pics and enjoy the water view.

This gallery and artist has fun vibes emanating throughout the garden setting in the back. Her use of color draws you in and invites you to enter her world and I loved it. Must check this hidden gem out.

The brightly colored glitter covered paintings of mermaids and fish are entertaining as is the garden walk along the canal and the Beatles stage. But the ‘peace and love’ theme gets undone pretty quickly with the trump flags and pictures everywhere. We backed away and left quickly. The cult is scary people. Beware.

When we visited here we realized it was not just an art gallery but an art and human experience. To browse the work of such a unique artist in a mello, naturalistic atmosphere with an old-fashioned Florida vibe is what made this such a cool place that we keep going back to. You don’t want to miss this place when traveling in the southwest Florida area.

If you can make it past the half dozen enormous Trump signs and flags outside you get treated to more propaganda inside...garish and overpriced. There is some beautiful things next door tho...I recommend checking out.

We purchased 3 lovely canvas paintings (prints) to put in our Michigan home. I really liked the beach, sea creature and Christian themes. I am so thankful I missed the Trump signs in the garden (another review) as I would surely not stuck around long enough to fall in love with the prints I purchased.

Think bright colors, funky art, informalness. Matlacha is a fishing town augmented by the national news made by Leomia. Very hard to find parking. The spots on Pine Island Rd go by 9am and the spots at the Community Park go soon thereafter.
This gallery is on the south side. It is full of Leomia’s painted art. Everything was open to her brush. Very colorful. Go thru the store to the garden in the rear. Sit there at feel free. See photos here as they give you a sense.
Several restaurants are available. Spend the day thru early afternoon. Be careful of the cars and people (walking on the sides) on Pine Island Rd. Go to Bat Park by the west end of the bridge and sit to absorb the view on the Harbour.

Good morning,
since your website is under construction: when is the gallery open at this time of the year?
Thank you!!!

Dear Smcclendon,
We apologize to you and others who have come to see our gardens behind the gallery and found them closed. During the summer months we are short staffed and use the summer months to renovate the gallery and gardens. From June through October we are open Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Starting November 1st we are open daily except for Christmas and Easter. This summer’s renovations include repaving our garden paths to make the walking areas slip resistant when they are wet from the rains (especially in the summer). When the project is complete we will be able to open the gardens during the summer months without fear of customers accidentally slipping on wet pavement. We are also installing a much needed irrigatiaon system and that will take a month to complete. We are making these extensive renovations so we can open the gardens during the summer months.
To those who felt shunned by my husband, Mike when he let some Beatle’s fans into the gardens and then didn’t let them in - it was a bad judgement call on his part. He wanted me to share that with you. Those particular Beatles fans were only allowed in one area to take the photo. They did not have free access to the entire gardens.
We are working to make sure everybody is aware of our summer hours and that the gardens are under heavy renovations. Again, we apologize and hope to make it up to you on your next visit to our little island of Matlacha.
