Don't go out of your way unless it's a day strictly for kids.

Water was seriously Too cold even in August
. It's not blue. Only the spot above the actual cave is blue and you can't get to it as the diving board is directly over it. Which is steady busy with teens hanging out at the board. If you are local it's probably a great spot for little ones to play, but wasn't worth the 3 plus hour drive. The whole thing is run by teens. I couldn't rent a kayake as they couldn't decide which ones were good and which ones were not rentable due to damage. The three yr old did have fun though. Tried to add more photos but was told they were all too large.

This destination was great. Should open earlier. Water was 70 degrees. Perfect sun and place to relax a few hours. Super clean.

Lovely swim area, beautiful water, can be a nightmare of crowds on weekends
Aug 2019
The water is the same as for all northern Florida springs. This spring is much more developed than most, and is more like a regular public beach or lake, with the pros and cons of those too. This site gets very heavy traffic on summer weekends, so best to go to a lesser known and less developed spring to avoid the crowds.

Family Fun

I like to go here because there is plenty of room. There is also a lot of shade. You can bring you tent or use the pavillion. It is a good place for a full day of fun for little ones and adults alike. The water is ice cold, yet refreshing in the hot Florida summers.

I would love to go back and enjoy the clear water and slides. You can rent boats for the day! They had a concert going on. Will definitely be back

So Much Fun

The water is cold but feels great on a hot summer day. We loved the slide and diving board. There is a beach for walk in entry. This is one of our favorite springs!

Beautiful Haven!!
Aug 2018 • Family
My Family, Friends and I have been going to beautiful Blue Springs since I was 10 and it still never ceases to amaze with all it's beauty! It has changed some(for the better I might add). It now has a very nice clean play ground for the kids, great concession, good food, cold drinks, (already had those though!) Has beautiful blue spots to snorkel and you can even see the caves! Has really nice large dock, nice manmade sandy white beach! You can launch your own kayaks or canoes from inside the park as long as you pay the regular fee to enter which is 4.00 per person. They also rent their own paddle boats, canoes, kayaks. Be back in time to load out with your own before closing time so the staff can get everything done at the rental dock and park. They have an amazing friendly staff and wonderful attentive lifeguards every year! Yes, I am very proud of our park, and I live in Alabama, not very far across the line so we can go often and it doesn't cost us a lot of fuel. We have our own yaks and canoes. But sometimes when I go alone,(at my age, I just rent theirs so I don't have to load as and unload). Florida has some beautiful parks but to me, this is the very "BESTEST" one! Like I said, been going there since I was 10, I have 2 Great Grands now, soon to be 3 years old, and Lord willing we will continue to go, they love it too!! I could go on and on, there are not enough words to really explain it's beauty, you will just have to see for yourselves!!

Wonderful spot to cool off on a hot summer day.
Jul 2018 • Family
We were camping at Florida Caverns campground because we looked at brochures that showed blue water. It is a SWAMP!!!! So after exploring the cave and walking the trails we needed a place to cool off. My brother found this and we absolutely had fun. This place is a must visit. Even though it was packed; we still managed to swim and rent a pedal boat. The kids had a blast and we will be back soon. The life guards are amazing!!! They answered all our questions and were very polite. One life guard always had his eyes on everyone on the slide. You could hear him constantly reminding everyone the correct way to slide. Nothing slipped by him so I was impressed.

Nice park for a day trip
Jul 2018 • Family
Spring water is SO COLD! Be sure you go on HOT day so you can stand the water temperature.

$4 per person 6 and up - free for $5 and under makes this a really low cost option!

Picnic tables are first come, first serve other than available pavilions when reserved ahead of time.

Large bathrooms with many stalls and dry changing areas. Small concession stand.

Bring in your own picnic items/coolers.

For scuba divers, cave system accessible from swimming area.

We went on a Monday and it was not overly crowded. Playground area and sand area for kids to use outside of the water - diving board and slide as well as shallow wading/swimming areas. Two docks extend out to enclose the swimming areas. Paddle boats for rent - $10/hour.

This is a great day trip with a laid-back atmosphere.
