Having lived in Florida 27+ years, it was time to visit the only state park in my state that offers cave tours to the public. This was my last "site" visit on my way home to Central Florida from a solo vacation, and well worth...More

It was a fabulous tour by Kevin, a volunteer at the park. The only warning is that Tues. & Wed. the rangers don't do the tour. Instead they hire a concessionaire & will only do the tour if there are 5 people. We had to...More

Caverns State Park makes an effort, and it shows. The park is a typically well maintained Florida park and very scenic as you might expect. The park is, of course, all about the cave tours. Our tour guide Brooke, was a natural comedian, and made...More

Beautiful park with clean facilities, great hiking trails and a cavern tour. We had spectacular views of the cavern and our guide was very informative. We enjoyed bicycling around the park on the paved roads and we had 3 deer sightings along the way. We...More

To begin, once you arrive and park, the walk up to the visitor center and gift shop is probably the steepest part of the area for anyone that might struggle with altitude change, so the rest of the visit will be easy. We have been...More

Read other reviews and thought we would come here for the day. Best to go early and catch the first tour. It was 68 degrees in the caverns but 100% humidity. We found a jumper wasn't necessary but good flat walking shoes are. Also a...More

This is a clean and well managed park. The cost of the cave tour for 2 adults and 2 kids was very reasonable and it lasted over 45 minutes. Very interesting piece of geographic history.

I'm 6' 2" as well, and weigh about 220. Apart from having to duck and bumping my head a couple times, I could navigate with no problem.
