About Gametrackers
Gametrackers (K) Ltd are tour operators offering adventure safaris in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda and have been in operation since 1981. Our tours vary from budget to luxury camping, lodge and Tailor-made Private Safaris catering for individuals and families. We organize Safaris for large groups through our fleet of expedition trucks (schools, churches, Universities, GAP year students, mobile clinics etc), though our main area of expertise remains Camping Safaris – often to some of the remotest parts in East Africa. We remain one of the few operators who still operate road Safaris to the distant North of Kenya; the Lake Turkana region. Our fleet of 4x4 land cruisers caters for families and smaller groups who prefer accommodated tours in lodges and tented camps.

Overview
An 8 Day trip that takes you into some of the remotest parts of Kenya. Starting at Lake Turkana, known as the ‘Jade Sea’ so called for its green waters to the Chalbi Desert, which you cross and meet the local Gabbra people who live in the small Kalacha settlement and will be happy to share guided tours of their village. We move from here to an astonishingly cool and green hilly oasis high above the desert plains head up towards the Lake Paradise and Little lake
where you will discover how an indigenous forest and a desert come together to create the most compelling landscape on earth. Then onto Samburu game Reserve where we sleep under a canopy of trees and take in a couple of game drives whilst there meeting the vibrant Samburu people who live in the area.

On a recent trip to Nairobi we booked a trip to Naivasha with Gametrackers which was so good we booked a trip to Amboseli for the following weekend. On both occasions we were really lucky to have Adrian to guide us. He has a degree in wildlife conservation, and knows a remarkable amount about the birds and animals, and about conservation and the ways in which the human environment is encroaching on the wildlife. Adrian also has quite remarkable eyesight, with an ability to spot and recognise animals in the distance that we could hardly see, which hugely enhanced our experience of the trips. I would also recommend all of the trips we took. The boat trip on Lake Naivasha was wonderful, not just seeing fish eagles, king-fishers and hippopotamus on the lake, but also seeing game onshore from the lake. We took the cycle tour of the Hells Gate park, just near Naivasha, which is an extraordinary trip. Not only the freedom of being able to cycle through the park, past warthogs and buffalo, zebra and wildebeest, but also the geography of the park, with dramatic cliffs and gorges, apparently the setting that inspired the Lion King. The the second weekend we went to Amboseli - a four hour drive but well worth it. The Amboseli reserve has a range of environments from marsh and swamp to dry savannah, all under the enormous presence of Kilamanjaro. We saw lions after a kill, elephants walking past the camp at breakfast, catfish and storks, hyena and flamingos, and most memorably, when Adrian spotted some bat-eared foxes with cubs, a Martial Eagle flew down and took one of the cubs. I'd strongly recommend Gametrackers for putting together a custom tour to meet your needs, to get the best tours of the best parks.

I have done 4 trips through Gametrackers over the past 6 years. I keep coming back because I have had nothing but great experiences and I feel like I get the insider's experience of East Africa. They are easy to work with, knowledgeable in East Africa tourism, professional, find good deals and are flexible to meet my expectations for the trip. Everything is hassle-free. They take care of the planning, park entrances, meals, driving, equipment, etc. All I have to do is show up and have fun. I have traveled with groups as large as 25 and as small as 2 for as long as 3 weeks and as short as one weekend. They have always tailored the trip perfectly to our group size and trip length. Gametrackers was quick to respond to my inquiries and have planned trips for me on short notice. The guides are been fun and very knowledgeable in wildlife, history, terrain, etc. I ate well on their safaris. The chefs prepared warm tasty meals even when camping far out in the bush. Their drivers are skilled and have taken me to some remarkable places down rough, muddy roads that I would not be able to go otherwise. One time they even towed other safari companies whose vehicles were stuck in the mud. I always felt safe on these safaris. The guides have an knack for finding wildlife. Somehow they have managed to find the most reclusive animals (leopards, cheetahs, etc) for me, even when nothing is guaranteed in nature. One of my favorite experiences was when 6 lions came and laid in the shadow of our land cruiser during a safari drive. Their vehicles are comfortable and offer great views for seeing animals and geography. Their tents are spacious and watertight. I've survived some intense rainstorms in their tents. I highly recommend their camping safaris as it is a true adventure to be out in the African bush. On the other hand, they have also organized great trips to beautiful beaches and fancy lodges for me. They can do it all, whatever you prefer. My trips have included the following sights in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania: Murchison Falls NP, Serengeti NP, Tsavo East/West NP, hiking at Mt Kilimanjaro, Amboseli NP, Whitewater rafting in Jinja, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibar, Lake Turkana, Maasai Mara, Mombasa, Diani, Kilifi, Lake Magadi, Chalbi Desert, Hell's Kitchen, Samburu NR, Nakuru, Lake Baringo, Lake Bagoria, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Shimoni caves, Mt Kenya, and Lamu. Pretty much anything I wanted to do and anywhere I wanted to go. Highly recommend Gametrackers.

Because of a security breach on the email servers of gametrakes, Our entire advance payment was gone to the hackers. They offered us no compensation and took no responsibility, If you do go traveling with them, I recommend not transferring them any money in advance.

We are sorry that you were unable to travel with us this year due to cyber-crime. While Gametrackers (K) Ltd makes all reasonable and prudent measures to ensure that all communication made between ourselves and our clients is confidential and secured, we cannot rule out the possibility that our trading name, logo and/or address will be, or has been, used to try and defraud the public through false correspondence. This type of fraud may be via email, text message or by using a website, any or all of which purport to originate from Gametrackers (K) Ltd. We cannot prevent other parties from providing customers with false, unscrupulous and misleading information or which, by any other means, lead them to believe that there has been a change in bank account and payment details. The fact that an email or message of any kind appears to come from Gametrackers (K) Ltd does not, of itself, guarantee that that message is legitimate. Our accounts were not compromised and there was no breach. The spammer could have forged the from address and sent a spam/phishing email. Spammers can forge, or "spoof," your domain's From address to make their spam look like it came from someone in your domain. It is not possible to prevent spammers from sending spoofed emails and this can happen to anyone. They will be able to use any email ID to send mails as there are a lot of open relays or unauthenticated SMTP servers available. Bear in mind an email attack can happen both ways. All payments are done via our safe and secure online booking payment portal. We take account security seriously. Sincerely; Stacey

Our guide was a delightful man, he was incredibly knowledgeable. We drove slowly up the Thika Highway, taking in the scenery on enroute and stopped whenever we wanted. Once there we had a couple of days in and around the park and were fortunate to see a wealth of wildlife.. I would highly recommend this company.

Gametrackers Safari provided a high level of service in arranging and coordinating my 8-day safari throughout Kenya. Judy was very responsive to my inquiries during the time that I was planning the trip, especially since I was a solo traveler. Martin Tate, my guide, was a professional in every sense. Martin knew from instinct and experience how to find locations where the more elusive animals like cheetahs, leopards, and lions were located in the parks. Martin was very patient and allowed me the opportunity to stay awhile and enjoy the company of elephants, giraffes, lions, and baboons and he also helped explain different aspects of an animal's behavior. Finally, as a mechanic by background, he knew how to navigate Kenya's roads, especially the ones in the national parks which are not paved and are difficult to traverse under the best of circumstances and even worse when it rains. My only recommendation in working with Gametrackers would be to independently research and review the lodging arrangements that it recommends. Flamingo Hill Tented Camp in Lake Nakura, for example, was excellent. On the other hand, the same could not be said for AA Lodge in Amboseli National Park. Be prepared to pay a higher fee for an improved level of accommodations.
