Breakwater Adventures offers private customizable boat charters around Marco Island, Florida. Choose a dolphin tour, shelling excursion or a waterskiing and tubing trip. You can find your own secluded island paradise, learn to wakeboard or combine your interests for your group's perfect day of adventure and exploration. We booked the full beach day which included the beach set up and 4 hours of boating. The captain and set up were fantastic. We rotated our party of 8 across both activities. Highlight of the trip! I would absolutely recommend for any large group.

This was a perfect activity for our group of 5...girls wanted to shell, boys wanted some adventure and our captain, Alex was awesome at making every part of our trip fun! He was friendly, had a great sense of humor, shared lots of knowledge about the area, drove us around lots of dolphins, found us some cool shells and was expert at pulling the tube!! We had a great time!!
Dolphins were so much fun. I captured so much video of them jumping, “walking” backwards, surfing our wake etc
I was worried about red tide- the dead fish and smell is so gross but he kept us moving so we didn’t start coughing or anything
Also I was skeptical about tubing in January but you don’t actually get “in” the water amd the experience is so fun, the guys loved it.
The tide is exceptionally low right now And Alex expertly navigated it
Highly recommend this outting!!

We took the 3 hour combo tour with Captain Thomas- he is super chill and friendly. We've been out with Breakwater Adventures multiple times and love how accommodating they are. Truly flexible to spend as much or as little time on each activity to make sure everyone on the boat gets to do what they like most!! Thomas was very attentive, warning us of choppy waters, pointing out dolphins - he even got them to engage with our boat. He went out of his way to take us to an island with some really cool shells. And, he was a ton of fun on the tube. We were all laughing at his twists and turns.

We did the dolphin, tubing, shelling tour. Alex made sure the day was a success. He went shared great facts my husband enjoyed about the area. He went just fast enough on the tube to give my son an awesome ride and my daughter loved the shelling. It started raining just before the shelling and he pulled to a marina to wait out the rain not to have to cancel the shelling. Couldn’t have asked for a better captain!

We had such a great time on this tour. Seeing the dolphins jump and follow the boat so close was something I have never seen before. We had a group of five and it was nice to just have the boat to us and the captain, who was very informative and friendly. Three in our party did the tubing and had a blast! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marco Island.

Whether it's dolphins, birds, reptiles, or other wildlife of the gulf area, Breakwater Adventures is our "go to" tour on Marco Island. We have trusted Alex for three years to find not only dolphins but even the more elusive creatures that live in and around the waters of Marco. He always amazes with his knowledge of the surroundings and meets or exceeds your tour expectations. A consistant 5 star performer. You won't be disappointed.

Our day out with Breakwater Adventures and Captain Alex was the highlight of our family's visit to Marco Island. Alex took us shelling, dolphin spotting, wake boarding and tubing. My two teenage boys loved getting to experience wake boarding for the first time. Both my boys were able to wake board successfully because of Alex's patient and expert instruction.
Alex also knew where the dolphin would be hanging out and was able to get them to follow the boat and play in the wake - amazing!!! We will definitely book another trip with Breakwater next time we visit Marco Island.

Capt. Dan was so accommodating to our request to spend most of the tour shelling. I was MOST impressed that he found some really cool shells and he gave them to our party. He was very knowledgeable about the islands and the animal/sea life on the mangrove islands. He maneuvered the boat so that we could watch the dolphins play. Most enjoyable trip and would do it all over again!!

This was our 2nd trip with Breakwater and we had a blast! We booked the 3hr tubing/wake boarding trip and totally recommend it. There was 6 in my group, ages 42-13 and we all enjoyed every minute. Not only did we tube/wake board, we went shelling and found dolphins and a manatee. If your in the market for a fun family trip, don’t look any further, Breakwater Adventures is the best experience on the island.

We booked a 3-hour Dolphin, Tubing, and Shelling Tour, 4 adults and 2 children. It was an unforgettable experience. Alex was out tour guy, he did an amazing job. Got to see so many dolphins, it was awesome. Shelling was great, and the tubing was a lot of fun! Highly recommend it!

Thanks for reaching out! We do our best to accommodate everyone and will provide whatever assistance we can, however there can be issues with accessibility to our vessels. Strictly speaking, our boats are not wheelchair accessible and passengers must be able to navigate a few steps to board.
We are more than happy to discuss any concerns about accessibility and we will do our best to make it work! If we feel as though it would be unsafe or uncomfortable to attempt a tour on one of our vessels, we will point you in the direction of another tour provider that may be able to work with your specific needs.

Great question! At this time, our tubing boats can only accommodate six passengers at one time. This is because of a US Coast Guard regulation.
We developed our Beach Day Package for groups such as yours, that want to take advantage of our private tours and watersports activities, but have more than six passengers.
We set up a beach camp with shade, chairs, beach games, a large cooler and other amenities on a nearby island only accessible by boat.
Your group has full access to our Captain and boat for the duration of your trip, so while a few of you are relaxing on the beach, the others can be out tubing or in search of dolphin.

Hi! We will be in Marco in a week. Do you have any boat trips that allow an infant? We have 2 older daughters, 5 & 10 but have a 6 month old that we would like to bring along for a boat ride. We weren’t sure if there were restrictions on littles. We can bring her life vest if needed.

Of course! We love to have all ages on board for all of our trips. We have infant life jackets we can provide, or you are more than welcome to bring your own as long as it is Coast Guard certified!
