Our family (kids ages 9 and 10) had a great time. The guides were knowledgeable and personable. We saw 13 dolphins, an osprey eating its prey, and another osprey fighting a bald eagle. Highly recommend.

Marco has first baby dolphin of the season ... Late Aug 2018 (0 Replies)
Birthing season for Marco dolphins has begun .. the local explorer boat has named it "Swoop". From the Marco Review "Bob McConville of The Dolphin Explorer just e-mailed us to tell us they have just spotted the first local baby dolphin of the year. The mom is Orange and they recognized her by her dorsal fin. Bob told us there were 8 kids on the boat at the time and they all agreed to call it Swoop. Let's hope that Marco continues to be spared the worst of the red tide and all our...More

The Dolphin Study EcoTour and Everglades tours? (7 Replies)
Hello to all you great, helpful folks on this forum! Wanted to get some opinions about the 'Dolphin Study EcoTour' or it may be called 'The Dolphin Explorer' and also if anyone had a suggestion for a reliable, decent Everglades tour: My girlfriend and I will be heading to Marco Island late March and her kids (9 and 12) would love to be out on the water to experience nature up-close. Thank you very much for any info! Gus

If you are open to taking an Everglades (inland) hiking or kayaking trip, call the Big Cypress preserve rangers to schedule a FREE trip! You can look up the schedule online and call to reserve your spot. You will probably see a bit more wildlife on the kayaking tour, but I like the hiking tour better!:)
