Kept all of us engaged (kids ages 14, 11 and 8) and learned a lot about local dolphins while spotting quite a few. The Captain was adept at knowing when the dolphins wanted to follow along in the wake and a couple of them provided...More

The mom is Orange and they recognized her by her dorsal fin. Bob told us there were 8 kids on the boat at the time and they all agreed to call it Swoop. Let's hope that Marco continues to be spared the worst of the red tide and all our...More

The Dolphin Study EcoTour and Everglades tours? (7 Replies)
Hello to all you great, helpful folks on this forum! Wanted to get some opinions about the 'Dolphin Study EcoTour' or it may be called 'The Dolphin Explorer' and also if anyone had a suggestion for a reliable, decent Everglades tour: My girlfriend and I will be heading to Marco Island late March and her kids (9 and 12) would love to be out on the water to experience nature up-close. Thank you very much for any info! Gus

If you are open to taking an Everglades (inland) hiking or kayaking trip, call the Big Cypress preserve rangers to schedule a FREE trip! You can look up the schedule online and call to reserve your spot. You will probably see a bit more wildlife on the kayaking tour, but I like the hiking tour better!:)
