Visited a couple of times just to watch the various species of birds go about their business. Great tower to watch from with nesting Ospreys very close by. At low tide can wade across to the other side. We didn't do this ourselves so can't say if it's worthwhile but saw plenty of people doing it.

While on Marco Island, be sure to take a stroll or pop up a chair on the lovely pristine shorelines of Tigertail Beach. Perfect for the shell collectors or the romantics looking for love.

I've visited here several times and witnessed it evolve into a family destination. There are services including playground and beach rentals that are great for families. Most recently I came here by running up the main beach area early in the morning, and came upon a group of rosette spoonbill birds in the estuary. It was quite a sight in... More

Always a great visit. A wonderful place to shell or relax on the beach. It is a little walk and you do have to cross a lagoon and follow the trail through the mango trees. We took out kids there and they loved it!

Lovely huge beach that is quite a walk out to the Gulf. If you park in lot #6 this gets you closest to the beach still about 1/4 mile on packed sand, easy walking. Restroom in parking lot. Plenty of parking at 11:00 am. Beach nearby the entrance is on a little estuary that is not particularly pretty so it's... More

Everyone thinks of the large, white sandy beaches in Florida, but I prefer a smaller, easy-to-access beach with plenty of parking. This perfectly describes Tigertail. We went there with friends while visiting Naples, FL and had a great time. No crowds, windbreakers to rent and sit behind, lots of great background settings for pictures, and overall we had a very... Tigertail beach is a quiet , serene beach that has some mud present and a little of a foul odor when we walked across it. We loved the entire beach, though and shelling on this entire beach is out of this world! You can find sand crabs, ospreys and other wildlife which is so interesting and truly worth going to.... Clean family beach. Pay Parking close by. Nice place to pick shells. There were toilets at one parking spot, but the beach is large.

This beach is never over crowded and allows a nice beach walk that stretches for a few miles. It is a wide beach, so you have to walk a little ways to get to the water. We love watching the sandpipers and pelicans, and even see dolphins playing every time we visit. Very family friendly and a good place to... More

Monday through Friday from 830-1030 through April there is a FREE guided nature walk with someone from the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. We met our guide, Marty Roddy, at the kiosk at 830am on a Tuesday morning. We thoroughly enjoyed all the information he provided us along the way about everything we were seeing. You can tell he loves to... More
