Tigertail is beautiful and just as it should be. We saw a number of osprey, Pelican, ibis, sandpipers, and a heron. The water was very active with fish, including Snook but we did not catch any. There was not was not a beach where we were with a lot of sugar sand. You'll want to bring insect repellent.

The lagoon is a stinky cess pool. We parked at the lovely outdoor cabana area and were greeted by a strong bathroom smell. We thought is was the bathroom. But it wasn't. It was the lagoon at Tigertail Beach. And it is bordered with sludge. Maybe it was the time of year we visited?? I can't imagine swimming in it... More

If you look this beach up online, it recommends fording a lagoon to get to the main beach. The strip at the edge of the property is not that wide or nice, unless you'd like to see a ton of crabs. While we were trying to decide how to carry our stuff across the water, a nice passerby let us... More

When you get to the "beach" don't turn around because that's not the real beach. You either need to walk around or hike across the lagoon to get to the beach. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards to use in the lagoon and they give you a waterproof box to keep your wallet and phone in. When you get... More

Love Tigertail park. We regularly go there for kayaking, paddling, or just playing in the lagoon. There's a snack bar. Be careful to go a high tide, or your boat will likely get stuck.

A lovely sandy beach - the local environment is a protected area so it feels quite unspoilt - you can't park close to the beach so you have to take about a 800 metre walk to the waters edge, which for some will be tricky, especially on hot days. The water is quite shallow for the first 50 metres or... More

This beach beautiful, wide and pretty. Shells and more shells. The birds are amazing as well. Park has play ground as well. Only draw back is long walk to the beach unless its low tide then you cross over.

When you first get out of your car and see the lagoon you have to walk thru you will want to change your mind. However, once you get to the other side and see the beach and not many people around you will be glad you went. My wife and I walked the beach first thing in the morning and... More
